Good : new brake master and wheels cylinders strong solid engine 1600 dual port good top and frame could replace to make more supple convertible doors are removable windscreen folds down like jeep coolest car everthis car is solid enough to put on the road, needs some patches on pans but could be driven a while and enjoyed till you decide to do them, not a driver as of now but not far from it. Not only a BARNFIND but owned by a fairly well known family. The Gallup family which owned farms on Mexico and the US had an obvious vw thing lover in it. He loved them and had imported this to the USA then put it in a barn and there is sat until I rediscovered it from a lead from fellow veedubber.I pulled this from the Barn and farm and started working on getting the clean nj title and mechanicals on it. . I worked on the owner for years before I finally succeeded in getting this. It was a Mexican taxi and it shows in spots with it bumps and bruises and repairs. It's not perfect but it is a perfect starter thing project that looks the part and has great history. The new owner will get the cool Mexican plate and an old Mexican drink can still in it. It does have velour seats for comfort as it was used to carry people around and comfort was important. There was carpet glued inside that I removes but needs to have some glue removed still.. I have a set of stock seats with OG upholstery that can be negotiated on after or during sale. Check out the cool new barn pics.
