Vehicle Detail
There have been a few remarks about the pictures. All pictures were taken by me, and all within the last month and a half or so. Obviously, the camera was using the default date. This is the perfect car to enjoy the coming beautiful spring weather. This car came in a package deal with an MGA, but due to the lack of space, I can’t keep both. A look under the hood, and the care that has been shown to this original Chrome Bumper MGB is evident. The carburetors have been rebuilt and polished. The gas tank and fuel pump are new. The Ignition system has been upgraded with a Pertronics coil and new Cobalt ignition wires. The compression is 135# on all cylinders. Even the valve clearances have been set to spec. The vehicle runs and drives beautifully. The clutch, brakes and shifter all feel very solid with no issues. The interior is very nice. The Dash looks wonderful and all of the gauges function properly. The carpet is very good and the seats are good except for one tiny worn spot on the driver’s backrest. The paint is ok for a driver. It shines nicely, but has some chips, dings and scratches. The driver & passenger floors have had new metal installed. The rockers, fenders, doors, boot, bonnet and quarters all appear original and rust free.It has never been in an accident that I can see, and the original split rear bumper (1970 only) has been re-chromed beautifully. This car comes with a new set of stainless side moldings, because several of those on the car have dings. The convertible top is brand new and the car comes with a used tonneau and car cover. The jack and tool kit are in the trunk along with a proper wire wheel spare, with cover. Look at the pictures. You are bidding to own. Ask any questions you like and inspections are welcomed and recommended. The sale will be final. A $500 deposit must be made through PayPal immediately upon winning, with the remainder due in cash at pickup. If you have less than 10 feedback, contact me first. The car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction early. Shipping will be the sole cost and responsibility of the Buyer. I can help with loading if needed. Good luck!On Feb-25-14 at 08:51:13 PST, seller added the following information: ************* NOTE ************************ Over the weekend, we were showing the car to a Bidder, and the clutch hydraulics began to leak. We have now replaced both the Clutch Master (with the good $150 one, not the junk $60 item in most parts stores) and Slave, and the clutch operation is back to being as nice as I said it was. Also: the tires pictured in the ad look excellent (and they are / were), but they were very old. We had a set of nearly new tires in the garage, and decided that it would be better to send this car off with its new owner, rolling on excellent tires as well. So, at the same time, we changed to the newer tires as well. ************* NOTE ************************
