Vehicle Detail

OverviewThank you for looking at my auction. I am selling the family 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i with less than 54,000 miles. The car is available for inspection in the evenings or weekends by appointment only. I am the original owner and purchased the car new from Liberty Subaru in New Jersey in June 2007. This is my family’s main car but our kids are bigger now so reluctantly it’s time to part with the car. The owner’s manual and all documentation shown in the picture will come with the car. I also have a custom fit sunshade for the windshield that will be included. The car runs and shifts well, drives and stops straight, does not leak any fluid, and the A/C is cold and the heater is hot. The car is rust and accident free and has not even been in so much as a fender bender. I have the original clean NJ title with no lien. I also have the CarFax report that I will provide if you send me your email address. The car was in NJ until January 2011 when we moved to Texas where it has been since. In NJ, every time it snowed or the roads were salted, I always washed the car and under carriage to prevent corrosion. In Texas the car has been garaged year round and does not suffer from any sun fading. If you’re looking at this auction from a colder part of the country, I grew up in a snow state and have to say this is the most stable car on snow and ice that I’ve ever driven. The symmetrical four-wheel drive is amazing on slick conditions. The heated seats work really well and the car has heated mirrors! The car is in very good condition but rather than just tell you that, like so many adds do, I've done my best to describe everything that is not perfect with this car, so that you can compare against other Subarus for sale and make an informed decision. MechanicalI have meticulously maintained this car in line with the recommended schedule. - oil has been changed every 3,750 miles- tires rotated and balanced every 7,500 miles- four-wheel alignment approx. every 15,000 miles (last one at 48,576)- air filters and cabin filter changed as needed- tires were replaced at 33,000 miles with Michelin Primacy MXV4s, which are the highest rated performance all season tire reviewed by Consumer Reports. Tires have plenty of tread left as shown in the picture.- major 30,000 service performed by Gillman Subaru in Houston- brakes done at 31,000 miles- front wiper blades just replaced- any recalls were promptly taken care of by Subaru dealers I lost a few of the oil change receipts along the way but I have all of the receipts for the important items. I have never missed a single maintenance interval. See the last picture for the large stack of receipts that will come with the car. The next oil change is due at 56,250 miles and the next major service is due at 60,000 miles. As far as repairs I have kept the car in top shape and have taken care of issues when any have presented themselves. The following repairs have been made to the car in the last year – all performed by my local ASE certified mechanic, with all receipts included:- Aug ’13, AC and alternator belts replaced- Aug ’13, bank one oil switching control valve replaced (caused check engine light to come on – I took the car in immediately for service)- Dec ’13, left and right CV axles replaced- Jan ’14, engine and transmission mounts replaced For any repairs in the last 12 months my mechanic is part of a network that provides a 1-year, 12,000-mile nationwide warranty, detailed on the included receipts. Mechanically everything works as it should; the car runs and shifts well, drives and stops straight, does not leak any fluid, and the A/C is cold and the heater is hot. Anyone would struggle to find a car that has been better maintained or taken care of than this one. ExteriorThe exterior is in good condition and the car has never been in an accident. I have done my best to capture the car as is and have not used any touch up paint in the pictures or tried to hide anything. I’ve gone out of my way to describe everything that is not perfect and tried to capture all scratches in the pictures. What you see is what you get! There are: - two dings from shopping carts on the right side, one on the left;- a scratch on the right side from my son’s bike; - a couple of paint chips on the driver’s door from people parking too close, - small chip on the left side;- very slight scratch on the hood;- scratch on the right side of the rear bumper;- a few very small dings on the roof (from acorns maybe); - and the windshield has two small chips that were repaired in 2011. I installed a bolt-on 2” receiver to use for a bike rack. The car has never been used for towing and there is no wiring for the hitch. It’s perfect for taking bikes on a trip. InteriorThe interior is in really good condition, especially for a family car of this age. When we moved to Texas we had the windows professionally tinted with 3M film to keep the interior free of any sun damage. There are no cracks in the dash. As you can see in the pictures, there are a couple of small stains or scratches in the interior, but you really have to be looking for these. I have not tried to shampoo the car at all, so any imperfections may come out. The only ones most people would likely notice if they were looking for imperfections would be the small marks on the driver’s door and the stain on the left passenger seat. In the interest of full disclosure, I have tried to capture all negative aspects in the pictures, but you would be hard pressed to find a better-kept interior in a 7-year-old car. The rear passenger side window recently stopped rolling down, I’m not sure why. It is in the fully up position. All other electronics, lights, switches, etc work as they should. Auction DetailsPlease only bid if you want to win and pay for the car. Also, please keep in mind that while the car has received excellent maintenance, it is used, 7 years old, and is sold with no warranty or guarantee, implicit, explicit, implied or otherwise. The car is available for inspection in the evenings or weekends by appointment only. If you’re buying from out of state I will be flexible in meeting an auto transporter if you need me to. Ebay offers a system to receive quotes from auto shippers. I can also pick up the buyer from IAH airport. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending and full payment is due within 5 days of the auction ending. You may make the deposit with PayPal. I will continue to drive the car until the deposit is received, at which point I will garage the car until the full balance is received. The balance of the auction can be met by wire transfer or PayPal, or other payment through Ebay. If you want to use a check the funds must be fully cleared in my account before I release the car, which may take several days. If you use a shipping service, you are responsible for insurance while the car is in transport and all shipping costs. If you have the car shipped, I will FedEx the title and all paper work to you. Good luck! Please check out my feedback and feel free to ask me any questions! On Mar-01-14 at 13:43:03 PST, seller added the following information:The car has never been smoked in.
