You are bidding on a 1971 vw transporter van. I don't know alot about these. This came to me recently as a trade for an rv. What I can tell you is that it looks great. I couldn't really find any rust on the van. The guy that traded it did a total restoration that really looks as good as in the pictures. i was told the motor is a matching number motor. I don't know that for a fact but, this is what i was told. It runs and drives excellent. I drove it for a little while. The gears shift well, the motor sounds great, and drove excellent. The braking was superb. I couldn't really find anything wrong with drive ability of this vw. one more thing I got more attention in this Volkswagen transporter than i did driving a Ferrari. it is unbelievable of the attention this truck gets. I have to say they are pretty rare, as this is the first time I ever saw one.
