Vehicle Detail
Treat yourself to a fine example of the Triumph Scrambler 900! This 2006, 865cc Bonneville Scrambler model was purchased brand new, by me, off of the showroom floor at Indy Triumph in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have owned this motorcycle throughout its life and it has been maintained to the highest standard. I own this machine outright and have the clear title. There are no liens on the bike. Maintenance: This Scrambler has been serviced only by factory technicians at the Indy Triumph dealership in Indianapolis. Each service interval has been scrupulously observed including the 500, 6,000, 12,000 and 18,000-mile recommended service intervals. I have always had the service done early. For instance, the bike currently has 17,000 miles on it but I had the 18,000-mile service performed on 08/15/13 with only 16,600 miles on the clock. In every case I have halved the oil change interval from 5,000 to 2,500 miles using only the recommended, Triumph-branded, Mobil 1 Racing 4T Synthetic Oil and the Triumph oil filter. So, the oil changes have been performed twice as often as recommended. Under no circumstance has a non-OEM part ever been used on this machine and never has a non-Triumph Factory Service Technician performed service on this motorcycle….ever! You will be provided with every receipt for every service performed on this machine no matter how insignificant. I have carefully kept every document. Care: This Scrambler has only been ridden in sunny, dry weather. It has never been wet and it has never been ridden on dirt or gravel. It has never been left outside and has always been garaged in my attached garage at my home since new. It only sits in a special place on a Persian rug in my neat, spacious garage during the riding season with no clutter around it. Without exception, I bring the bike into my office in my home in November and return it to my garage in April. It has never experienced temperatures below 32 degrees fahrenheit. While I do clean the bike periodically throughout the riding season, during its stay in my house all winter, I take the opportunity to remove all easily removable covers and seats and guards so that I can perform a 5-star detailing. I typically use more than 1000 q-tips every winter to clean every nook and cranny with fresh, clean water. No surface of the motorcycle goes without attention and anyone who sees it is inclined to believe that it is a new motorcycle. You will see pictures of it in my office where it happily resides every winter. Current Condition: This Scrambler has never been wrecked, dropped or even scraped against anything in its entire history. The condition of the paint, chrome and all surfaces is excellent. Mechanically, the bike is working perfectly. The bike starts and runs like new. All systems are operating which includes every button, switch and lever. All mechanical and electrical systems are perfect and nothing is broken or in a state of disrepair. I bought this Bonnie at age 38…not age 18. I have ridden it gently throughout and used sober-minded judgment in its operation and care. No person other than me has ever ridden this bike. In short, the bike is in perfect working order and is ready to ride. The battery was purchased in September of 2013 and is on a trickle charger. The front and rear tires are new, installed on 07/07/2013 and have less than 1000 miles on them. They are the Triumph recommended size and are Metzeler Lasertec performance tire on front and back. Scramblers come from the factory with a Metzeler semi-knobby scrambler-style tire but I have always used Metzeler road tires on this machine. I check my tire pressures and adjust them to the factory recommended pressure EVERY time I ride without fail. I use the finest quality Intercomp tire pressure gauge that is calibrated from the factory to have a margin of error no more than 0.6 psi variance over a 60 psi range. So these tires have never been even 1% off of recommended pressures. The drive chain has been cleaned and lubed every 500 miles and the tension adjustment is currently perfect. The brake pads are new in 2013 and have less than 1000 miles on them, front and rear. The brake rotors are well within thickness specifications according to my Starrett micrometer. The brake fluid was changed completely when the pads were changed this year. This Scrambler has never needed any major work done. No engine work or transmission work or anything other than regular maintenance and tire changes has been performed. During the most recent factory service the carburetors, clutch cable, and brake cables were adjusted to factory specifications. Accessories: This machine was equipped with every available OEM accessory for the 2006 model. It is LOADED. The accessories were on the bike when I bought it and I have not added any other accessories and certainly nothing that is not OEM. Factory accessories include… Aluminum Skid Plate Center Stand Performance Scrambler Exhaust Headlight Rock Guard Screen Single Seat with Luggage Rack Tachometer Chrome Engine Guard Windscreen Chrome Chain Guard Black Mirrors With this bike you will receive (Pictured) Original Double Seat (In pristine condition and never used) Original Exhaust in box (In pristine condition and never used) Original Accessory Power CableOriginal Triumph document pouch with owners manual A complete service history with all receipts Note: I have supplied a number of pictures of the Scrambler. Any pictures where you can see a red ball on the rear luggage rack were taken in my office on 01/23/2014. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions. I am pleased to offer any more information that you desire. I have a Paypal account. I am located in Indianapolis, Indiana and the buyer would be responsible for transportation.
