Up for auction is this 1971 Honda SL70 KO Motosport. These bikes are only original once, this bike has a great patina showing it's unrestored condition well. The bike runs great, always starts on a couple of kicks. Has good power and goes through the four speeds very smoothly. The carburetor has been cleaned & rebuilt, the bike idles good & accelerates briskly. The gas tank has also been derusted & sealed with a quality liner. The tires have been replaced with new ones & a new drive chain has been installed. New fork seals were installed after the forks were disassembled & cleaned & fresh fork oil was added. A new seat cover was put on to replace old torn cover. The fork stop on the frame was missing when I purchased the bike, that's why the gas tank has indents on front on both sides from the forks hitting it. I left the dents alone, thought it added character to the bike. A fork stop has been welded onto the frame to remedy the problem. The paint is in good condition considering it's age, it is worn in spots & the stripes on the gas tank show wear. Other new parts include a exaust/muffler assembly, carb. to air filter housing rubber assembly, new air filter, fuel line, tail light lens, battery with fuse holder. The side covers are in good shape, all the mounting tabs are there. One cover had a small crack in it but it has been reinfored & epoxied. The head light works as does the tail light & brake light. Since there is no speedometer on these models, I had to estimate the mileage [500], it could be more or less. The cycle will be sold with a bill of sale, I never received a title with this purchase. I believe anyone who buys this cycle will be well pleased with their purchase. These Honda Sl70's are becoming hard to find and are increasing in value every-year.
