Vehicle Detail

Im relisting the car as I have found as I found a discrepancy in the last number listed on the title and the vin plate on the car. The last number of the vin is a 9..the last on the title is a 0 Obviously it was either a typing error on the DMVs or the fact that it looked like a 0 until I cleaned the grime off it. In order to get it sorted out, I would have to bring the car to the DMV for inspection..then they would correct the title paperwork. I don't have a truck and trailer to do this Don't know if its the same in every state. Please find this out before bidding if you are planning on restoring the car. If you want the car for parts then its no big deal either way.Up for sale is a barn find 1965 Triumph TR4A. Restoration was started years ago...car sandblasted and then left...First the pluses...engine turns freely..carbs aren't frozen...passenger door is in excellent shape..good set of gauges...trans shifts as it should...The inner body tub is in great shape covered in just surface rust...The rear tub has no rot in the inner rear wheel wells. The trunk floor just has the factory installed drain hole..The front firewall clip again very straight...no front end repairs so common in the TR4s. The frame is free of rot in the usual areas just ahead of the firewall. It looks as though it will need repair on the outer part near the rear of the door. A simple fix once the rear tub is taken of. The rest of the frame is just covered in surface rust... The original set of 48 spoke wire wheels have been saved by the horrible yellow paint...plus you get a set of hubs..The car rolls freely. The negatives are the rockers and floors are shot. Rear fenders can be saved, drivers front is shot.. Is the car worth saving...who knows...It depends on your motivation level..If you looking for a simpler but more exotic project check out my listing for a Ferrari GTO listed in the kit cars/replica section of ebay. Both.cars are located near Charleston south Carolina...Happy holidays.
