Barn Find!! 1984 1 Ton Ssotsdale with Factory Big Block and A/C!!This truck is a Beast! It had been sitting for several years, and has minimal rust in the usual spots (cab corners, rocker panel). I purchased it this fall for the engine and transmission, but it's too nice to disassemble. I primed the carb., stuck in a battery, and it fired right up. It runs great, with no smoking or ticking.I found out from the previous owner that the 454 engine was replaced new at 110,000 miles. so the engine in the truck only has 72,000 miles on it. It is originally air conditioned, but the a/c compressor and brackets were not re-installed when the engine was replaced. It has the bulletproof turbo 400 tranny. It runs and drives, but the brakes need to be gone through. The rear suspension was upgraded to haul wood and scrap metal, by the previous owner. He also upgraded to dual exhaust , installed a tow hitch, bed racks, cassette stereo, and 10" aluminum wheels. This would make a nice winter restoration, or fix the brakes and drive it the way it is. I'm pricing the truck to sell, I got it at a decent price, and I'm passing that fair price along!
