Offering a very scarce 1955 TR2 convertible in a early stage of restoration. This TR2 is a project started a few years ago. The car at present is in primer and has been sanded to bare metal. The frame is in very good original condition but body work is needed from minor dent repair to fabrication of some panels on rear fenders. The photos show some of the work needed and from my experience new rear fenders or good used fenders would keep the cost down on some of the bodywork. Some fabrication has been done including all new floor pans installed and one rocker panel on the passenger side. A new driver side rocker panel is ready to be installed. The best part of this project is that all original parts for the car are present although some will need to be replaced to perform a proper restoration. The engine and transmission are in working order and the engine did run when taken out of the car-Speedometer which works shows a low 42000 miles. The car has some other improvements including a new windshield still in the box, new gas tank and four new Coker Pirreli tires with zero miles. The Front has had new English lower panels welded into the fenders. These will need to be slightly shaped and filled with bondo or lead.The car is ready for transport and all body panels are attatched.These Tr2's are becoming quite rare and fetch even a higher price than the TR3.The successful buyer must send a 500.00 deposit in three days and remainder of purchase price in seven days. Because of the winter weather we will provide free storage of the vehicle up to 45 days in our heated warehouse where 10 other antique cars are stored. We can help loading car on your trailer.
