2001 Honda VFR 800 Intecerptor - needs injector cleaning - selling as parts I am the original owner of the bike! It is a great bike! I bought it new and used it mostly to tour, and so most of the miles are highway miles. Corbin Seat Givi Bags Tinted Shield Two Bros. Muffler Kit Power Commander Injectors need to be cleaned. Gas did not get drained over the winter. I have put maybe 50 miles on it since the last time I got them cleaned, so I am very confidant that the bike is fixable, but because it isn't running I am starting the bidding at parts price. I think its worth a lot more, but I don't have the resources to fix it myself this time. A qualified do-it-yourselfer should have this bike running in no time. Other things you need to know and/or fix: The bike has been down once, at slow speed. The luggage rack took the most impact - the side bags have various degrees of road rash, and the top case was ripped off, along with part of the rack. The remaing rack and side bags are fully serviceable. If you want to use the top bag you will need to repair or maybe even replace the rack system that connects to the bike. There is a fairing crack which you can see in one of the images. I opted use the insurance money on the two bros muffler and the power commander and the shield rather than replace the fairing. A piece of plastic molding is missing. A rear-view mirror is missing. In an unrelated episode, someone broke into my car used the motorcycle ignition key to try to pry open something. The key is bent, but it may be repairable by a locksmith. I don't have the original key tag, so I don't know how to get a replacement from Honda. So if the key is not repairable a whole new piece might be necessary. I think I've covered all the important details. I am not taking offers for this bike. Thanks for looking.
