This was the billboard car and used in the movie - 'Gangster Squad' Cool Cadillac! Please see additional pictures below. Memorabilia - This 1948 Cadillac 62 series is a original California car. This Cadillac was used in the movie tilted "Gangster Squad". The movie released aprox Jan 2012. This car was the billboard car that was used to promote the movie and was also driven in the movie. The car comes with all support documents that include the cinema movie company California title and advertising poster. In addition the car comes with a DVD of the movie. This is a real nice cruiser and loaded with cool. This is a great car to own and drive and is also one to keep if you want a collectable. (Notice) The chrome trim piece on the left rear quarter panel just above the fender skirt has a little gap and mis-alignment. This is just one identifying mark on the car that is the same as the promotion billboard car. This is the proven authentic movie car. It is the only one left of 3 that were used. The other 2 cars were 1949's that were destroyed in the making of the film for stunt cars. While the car does come with the original California title for memorabilia and proof documentation. The car does currently have a clean clear Texas title with all stickers current. The car is being offered out of a Texas car collection. Body - The body on this car is a no rust original California car. The car has had one repaint for the movie and the paint is in nice condition. The paint on this car appears to be black base with clear coats. The car is straight and can be driven and enjoyed. There is a little small nick or two here and there on the car from being shuffled around in the movie production, but it is still a very presentable car. The chrome is about 85% on the car. Still very presentable and above driver quality. Interior - The interior in this car is new and real nice. The interior color is dark gray and light gray two tone with dark gray piping. The pictures make the interior look brown but it is not brown. Please look at the door pictures and you can see the light gray color. The dash and top door panels are the fighter pilot black that keeps reflection from the hood from glare on your dash. Steering wheel has no cracks and everything such as gauges ,horn and radio all work. The clock works and then stops . Probably has dust inside from all of these years. All dash chrome and door handles etc are in good shape. All glass is good in this car and has limo tint around the back glass and rear doors and the front doors has a little bit lighter tint. Nice little Cadillac cruiser. Mechanical - This Cadillac has had a lot of attention from front to back as it was used for the movie and promotions etc. New, brakes , shocks, tires, and just about anything you look at has been re-done to make it solid. The motor is a 346 flat head automatic. It starts right up and runs strong. The motor has 42k original miles on it and the transmission has been serviced and works great. The rear end has been totally serviced and has had wheel seals replaced. Front wheel bearings have been replaced and put back in original condition. The car does still have the 6 volt system and it works great. All lights work correctly including interior light, dash lights, back up light etc. Radiator, hoses, belts and anything that was needed to make it reliable has been done. The car is not a show car as they wanted it as original as possible for the movie, but it is a pretty dog-gone nice little Cadillac. One thing is for sure. This car has had a lot of money spent on it. This car is a real bargain for anyone looking for a cool affordable cruiser. Attention!
