One type of car was the Series 75 Factory Limousine. In 1976 six Series 75 Limousines along with the two famous Reagan high Tops Parade Limousines were delivered to the White House. Of these cars, two were extensively customized and used as Open Top Follow-up Cars by the Secret Service, two were armoured by Maloney Armoring and the other two stayed pretty much factory with minor additions like flagstands on the fenders, sirens and radio equipment. These were used as decoy limousine by Secret Service, and to transport Staff and lesser dignitaries (Like Senators, Pentagon Officals etc) The History of the Series 75 Cadillac Cadillac produced Series 75 Limousine models right off a special assembly line in a separate building at cadillac and build only a couple thousand copies a year from the mid 1930s up until the late 1980s. Cadillac was the last American automaker to build production limousines. Now all limousines are built for the public by custom Coach Builders using standard sedans as a base vehicle. Coach Builders take these sedans and Chop them in two adding a middle section to lengthen the car. This Series 75 was not a chopped car it used an elongated commercial chassis produced right on the assembly line and hand fitted by craftsmen at Cadillac. The last series 75 rolled off a seperate Cadillac assembly line in 1976.We bought this car from a friend who purchased it at a government auction back in 2005 and show it at car showsWe were told that these limited limousines were used by the secret services to fleet presidents, senators, and members of the legislature This particular car is a 1976 Series 75 Factory Limousine was delivered to the White House during the Reagan administration. This vehicle was designed to seat six, 2 in the front compartment and 4 comfortably in the rear salon using the rear seat and two built-in jump seats. The Series 75 was used in parades as a lead car carrying secret service agents, cabinet members and support staff. In addition many photos from the period show Series 75 Cadillacs transporting dignitaries. This 1976 Cadillac Series 75 Factory Limousine was used as part of the White House fleet during the Reagan, Bush (41) and Clinton administrations. Delivered in March of 1984, this vehicle served at The White House for close to ten years and was last used during the first Clinton Inaugural parade as a lead vehicle. Later it was used by The Secret Service at their training facility until 2005 when it was retired and sold at auction. The vehicle seats seven and the rear compartment was designed to seat four using built-in jump seats. The Series 75 was frequently used in parades as a lead car carrying secret service agents, cabinet members and support staff. In addition many photos from the period show this kind of Limousine transporting the President, Vice President and other dignitaries. This limousine has built in fender flag stands, disconnected period electronics including; under the grille, siren, cellular phone of the day and two-way radios as originally used by Secret Service.Condition:Mechanically this vehicle is in great condition considering it is from another era. It is hard to believe the car is over 30 years old. It shows extremely well with no real signs of wear or use. It has just under 39,000 original miles on it. The exterior paint is a quality repaint job.The car was kept inside under cover since it was decommissioned in 2005. Before that it was obviously garaged because the brightwork and chrome is in nice condition. Exterior paint is showing some tiny imperfections around the sailpanels but would not even come out in photographs they are so small. The interior is impressive and shows no wear at all. The original crushed blue velour and deep pile carpet and mats look new and show no wear. We are selling it because it takes too much space in our warehouse, we are afraid it will get damaged and it sits for months collecting dust and someone else needs to display it and use it better than we have.
