Rare 1979 "Macho" Trans Am # 16 of 200 built by Dennis and Kyle Mecham "DKM" of Mecham Pontiac. All numbers matching with various documentation from DKM. DKM Design Performance out of Glendale, Arizona purchased 200 of these cars in 1979 and provided a variety of modification options to resale the cars as a "Macho Trans Am". NO two cars were made the same making them truly one of a kind!#16 received these "Macho" additions: Hurst competition plus shifter with quick shift modifications, recurved distributor, rejetted carburetor, hooker headers, shaker hood scoop opened, trim and color scheme additions and badging. All documentation and paper work from DKM goes with the car.Exterior paint is Solar Gold with Chesterfield Brown accents and DKM production numbering on the fenders and rear spoiler.Interior is Deluxe Camel Tan Hobnail with original DKM console badge and horn button. Engine is a Pontiac 400 backed by a 4-speed Borg Warner Super T-10. Factory options include: power windows, power door locks, T-tops, A/C and tilt wheel Restoration started in 2000 - paint, carpet, upholstery, headliner, etc. Transmission has been rebuilt to factory specifications and clutch replaced. Engine has not been pulled, still runs strong, handling and brakes are solid. Very mechanically sound car. Sub frame connectors have been added. This vehicle is being sold as is, no warranty.
