Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster 2 door. It is titled as a 1976 "Assembled vehicle" because someone in the chain of title must have lost the original title and got lazy. When I got it, it had all the original parts on it, so I know it wasn't assembled. It does have the original VIN number plate on it, so if you want to petition for a new title as a 1947, it's doable, if that matters to you. With the help of a professional mechanic and experienced builder, we put a rebuilt 350 small block Chevy V8 in it. The engine was rebuilt by a NAPA dealer and professional shop, and has less than 2000 miles on it. It has a power rack and pinion steering out of a Corvette. It has a 350 turbo transmission out of a Chevy. It has a Nova rear end. The following items are new and modern: aluminum radiator with electric fan, brakes Corvette front disc Nova drum rear, carb, fuel lines, gas tank, radio/cd player, Dolphin gauges, Lokar shifter, wood banjo style steering wheel with tilt, flaming river steering column, electric windshield wiper motor, 12 volt wiring throughout, trunk liner, heater with electric controls.. Glass is all there and much of it is new. Even the trunk latch has been professionally rebuilt with brass workings inside. THOSE ARE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN WORKING CONDITION, NEW OR USED. MINE WORKS GREAT AND LATCHES TIGHT. Probably more things that I am forgetting. Comes with the following extra parts at the "Buy It Now" price, otherwise extra and subject to negotiation: FENDER SKIRTS, extra original radiator, extra original interior and body parts, locks and keys, new carpet and headliner. Car tuns very strong and straight. Could use some body work here and there, but is generally straight. It has no bondo that I can find, so bring your magnet and test it. It is almost rust free and was originally undercoated as a new car, I think. The floors and trunk are rock solid and appear to be miraculously original! Try finding that in another 1947 Chevrolet. The transmission was professionally rebuilt, and shifts excellent. It is dripping a little which drives me nuts, but I believe it is an easy fix coming from the cooling lines. The starting bid is less than I have in the car including original purchase price plus all the parts I have put in it. The car, engine and tranny alone would cost at least $8000 anywhere, and probably not be this solid of an old car. My goal is to sell the car and have find that when you see it that it is better than expected. If the car is not as I have described it when you get here, I'll refund your deposit and release you from the deal. Look at my 100% rating. I have it for a reason: I'm honest. I would consider a PARTIAL trade for an S10 V8 pickup truck, or V8 or V6 trike project, but cash is king. Payment balance must be in cash or certified check. If you pay by check, even certified, I will not release the title until it clears.
