Vehicle Detail
A wonderful piece of history and testament to American engineering. This 1954 Buick Super two door hardtop (Riviera body style code 56R), is a one family owned vehicle and all original as the day she rolled off of GM's factory line in Atlanta. It is the perfect car for those who love Harley Earl designed Buicks or 1950s Americana. She is perfect for restoration as the body and engine are in great shape for a 59 year old car. There is minor rust as would be expected on a car this age but the body is solid and still has the original Casino Beige paint and red and black interior. The interior is in need of love and restoration but complete and all there. My father has retired and is unable to restore her back to her full glory and wishes to find her a good home. She is equipped with the 322 cubic inch Fireball "Nailhead" V8, with original mileage coming in at just over 68,232, and a Twin Turbine Dynaflow transmission. She has been garaged and protected from the elements on the family farm in Virginia where she resides today. In 2007 a new water pump was installed, replaced some of the brake lines and rebuilt the individual brake cylinders...brakes were frozen and small 2 inch by 3 inch cut in an access panel had to be made to access the brake line feeding into the master cylinder located on lower body. New ignition wires and fuel filter and battery were installed. Same year the wheels were pulled, stripped, cleaned and restored in black paint. Testament to American engineering, the engine fired up after sitting dormant for 9 years with some priming of the carburetor. In several of the pictures the wheels do not show the hubcaps, however all four original hubcaps are with the car. If you have questions please email your contact information and I will respond quickly and promptly. PLEASE NOTE!! THIS CAR IS LOCATED ON THE FAMILY FARM IN VIRGINIA. IT WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP IN ZIP CODE 24090. THIS CAR IS SOLD AS-IS AND WHERE-IS. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL PARTS, NO ADD-ONS, NO CUSTOMIZATION, NO WARRANTY AND NO GUARANTEES OFFERED. IT IS A 59 YEAR OLD CAR IN NEED OF RESTORATION AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED ROAD WORTHY. IT SHOULD BE TOWED ON A FLATBED TRAILER OR PROFESSIONALLY SHIPPED.
