Vehicle Detail

BMW R26 in original (except tailpipe) condition. Bought the bike last year in need of a rear crankshaft seal due to an oil leak. Had the engine completely stripped to clean the slinger and while there the bearings and timing chain was replaced along with the tensioner upgrade like the R27. All bearings, gaskets, seals and fluids were replaced with new. All the the work was done using original BMW manuals in house ( I am a licensed aircraft mechanic). The transmission was send to Vech's for a complete overhaul with new bearings, gaskets and seals. Has new clutch. Piston is STD size only the rings were replaced. Valves were checked for leaks and refreshed. New battery, Metzeler tires came with the bike and still fresh. Battery is less than a year old. Carburetor was cleaned and the brass float was replaced. Tank is super clean with the original lining, it has two small dents. Rear fender has 4 extra holes from a previous non BMW rear rack. It shifts and drives awesome for a 50+ year old bike. Front and rear lights work so is the horn. Bike has original paint/pinstripes and matching engine and frame numbers. It is off the DMV records and it is sold as is with a bill of sale from me. I did the restoration with the intent of keeping it however a new BMW project has entered the picture and sadly I will have to let it go. Check out a video of the bike running here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHZ8npsCVBw Thanks for looking. On Nov-21-13 at 07:36:00 PST, seller added the following information: The title has been lost and there are no record of the vehicle in the DMV records. Buyer will have to go through the process of registering it. I have done it a couple of times and yes, it might take a couple of trips to DMV. The details of the process can be found here. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs%2Fbrochures/howto/htvr14.htm
