Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is one of the rarest Chevelles I have owned, and possibly a one-of-one with these options. It was ordered as close as you could get to a small-block Super Sport in 1970, and since it was built in Canada it is completely documented by GM – see pics. Better yet, most of the original parts are still here as the car was never really hot rodded or cut up. The options are: -350/300 engine, K0202CNJ (original with VIN stamp) -Muncie M20 4-speed, P0R23A (original with VIN stamp) -3.31 12-bolt rear, CW code (believed to be original) -F40 heavy-duty suspension -Power disc brakes -Tach & gauges -14x6 Rally wheels (included) -Remote mirror The car was special ordered from a dealer in Sylvania, Ohio with no other power options or even a radio. The only modifications I can see are the Hurst shifter, A-body bucket seats, headers, aftermarket radio, and air shocks. It was driven until the 1980s and rolled into the garage for a cam change, which was never finished as you can see from the engine picture. It was stored in a barn until this year when I bought it. The car deteriorated in storage but it is still very restorable and deserves a high quality restoration.   Body condition: Repainted once in the early 1980s. I believe all the panels are original. Typical rust behind the front wheels, at the bottoms of the doors, around the rear wheel arches and behind the rear wheels.  Rear window area looks very solid with minor rust around lower corners. Driver’s floorpan section will need replacement and other small areas of the floorpan will need to be patched. Trunk pan is rusty around wheelhouses as shown and there are rusty areas of the trunk weatherstrip channel near the rear bumper as shown. Body is pretty straight except for a few dents on roof and decklid from objects in barn attic falling on car. All glass except windshield is original. Windshield was broken when I bought it and a replacement is sitting in the channel and would need to be correctly glued into place.   Interior: Looks original and all there except for A-body bucket seats. You would want to replace it all for a nice resto.   Drivetrain: Looks mostly original. I have almost all the engine parts including a L79 cam and lifter kit that is included. It will definitely need a distributor, timing chain, and gasket set, maybe more when you dig into it.   Frame/chassis: There are two areas of the frame that I would fix during the restoration: an area near the rear bumper on the driver’s side, and an area over the axle on the passenger side. Both are from moisture from mouse nests. I’ve had the car up on jack stands for months and the frame seems very solid in general.   Wheels/tires: Super nice Ansen Sprint slots from the 1970s with Goodyear Polyglas E70 tires. I think they look perfect on this car. All five original 14x6 Rally wheels are included, too, in case you want to go back to the original look. I don’t have the trim rings for the Rally wheels, only the center caps.   Title: The Chevelle has a clear Michigan title. It is still in the previous owner’s name. It has not been registered in decades.   Terms: If you have ANY questions email me before bidding. I am proud of my good feedback and always try to describe my cars to the best of my ability so there are no surprises. What you see in the pics is what you will get with the car. This is a project car that is being sold as-is, where is, with no warranties expressed or implied. $1000 non-refundable deposit is due in 48 hours of auction end, and balance of payment is due in 7 days of auction end unless other arrangements are made in advance. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and transportation but I will do my best to help load the car on a trailer.
