Wonderful piece of history for sale for those who love Harley Earl designed 1950's Americana automobiles. This 1954 Buick Super two door hardtop (Riviera body/trim style 56R) is a one family owned vehicle and is all original. She is equipped with the 322 ci Fireball "Nailhead" V8 with mileage coming in at 68,232, and Dynaflow automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes also included. She has been garaged and protected from the elements on the family farm. In 2007 a new water pump was installed, replaced some of the brake lines and rebuilt the individual brake cylinders...brakes were frozen and small 2 inch by 3 inch cut in an access panel had to be made to access the brake line feeding into the master cylinder located on lower body. The brakes are not reliable and currently the emergency brake is used to stop the vehicle when moving. New ignition wires and fuel filter and battery were installed. Same year the wheels were pulled, stripped, cleaned and restored in black paint. In several of the pictures the wheels do not show the hubcaps, however all four original hubcaps are with the car. It was late 2009 when the engine was last idled to charge the battery. The battery was disconnected at that time and today would need a charge or replaced. The engine does run but will need some priming of the carburetor and fresh fuel to get her started.
