1979 Pontiac Trans Am Up for auction is a 1979 Pontiac Trans am, barn find. This is a two owner car with 46,000 original miles. The car comes with the original window sticker and PHS documentation. EXTERIOR: The color of the exterior is Cameo White. The paint is in great condition. The fenders, doors ,and quarters have been resprayed at one point. There are some areas where the paint is chipped, and some areas where chips have been touched up (see pictures). This is a solid car with some surface rust on the body, no holes. The underside is solid as well. The floors and trunk floors are in great shape. The car was undercoated when new. The tail panel is intact and in great condition. It is hard to find a Trans Am with a decent tail panel. Windshield has a small chip in it. INTERIOR: The interior is in amazingly great shape for a 34 year old car. The only issues are the headliner sagging and a small wear spot on the driver side carpet. All gauges work, even the dash clock!!!!! No cracks on the dash. It is missing the original radio, however there is a aftermarket radio and the radio bezel is not cut up. TRUNK: The trunk is in great shape, no rot present (see pictures). The original spare tire and jack are still there and appears to be unused. The original tire inflator is still there also. ENGINE: The motor is the 403 Olds 6.6 liter with the 4bbl carb. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts smoothly. The water pump will need to be replaced and a new one is included with the car. This is a nice example of an original 1979 Trans AM that is hard to come by. With a little work this could be a nice show car.
