Vehicle Detail
1973 Porsche 914 gt one-of-a-kind custom porsche 914 v8 conversion Up for sell is my Custom Porsche 914 V8 w/ the Renegade Hybrid conversion. I bought this car not long ago because I've wanted one of these since high school. Purchased unseen & un-driven from the previous owner in California, I spent the last few weeks completely going through it fixing any items needing attention. I probably should have spent more time driving it than working on it because I soon realized my bodily proportions were not the same as they were in 1973. To say the interior is a bit cozy, would be an understatement. At 6ft, 230 lbs I feel cramped in it. The engine firewall is about 3" forward then stock to accommodate the larger V8 engine. Someone with a little smaller frame would be a better match for this vehicle. With over 35k invested in parts and labor (from the previous owner), the car runs great and is fully finished and turn key ready. Very Quick and a blast to drive, the car is street legal and has new Texas State Inspection & Antique Plate. All gauges and lights work, including the reverse light. Features: 930 full floater rotors with "Big Red" front brakes. New steel braided Brake lines throughout, and new larger 19mm Master Cylinder with blue brake fluid. Front Suspension is 911 sc, with aluminum front cross bar. The rear, nice adjustable coil-overs with aluminum cross bar. The engine is a great running, low mile, Chevy 350 w/ high output starter. It comes with a lot of edelbrock pieces including carb, distributor, intake manifold, valve covers etc. Cooling system consists of a big aluminum radiator and continental VIII pull fan. Intake temp sensors operate the fans when needed. (Does not Overheat) New Heavy Duty clutch and pressure plate kit to handle the increased torque from the V8. 901 side-shift transmission that has been freshened up with new seals and any worn parts replaced. Custom 930 full floater rear axles that will never break. "Super Turbo" deep dish wheels with 305/35 18 tires in the rear. (Thats a lot of rubber back there) "935 body kit" with carbon fiber accents and "Porsche" name on the sides. The car was built with chrome, anodized, or aluminum pieces. Underside sprayed with special chassis protection, there is no rust anywhere. Rebuilt pedals with new brass bushing kit and aluminum pads. New Interior including carpet, seats, dash, door panels, etc. Racing and stock seat belts - the racing seat belts are bolted in back through the firewall. Push to start ignition - hit the toggle switch, turn the key, and then push start button. Additional VDO gauges for temp, oil, and voltage. All gauges have led bulbs for better lighting. Rebuilt stick shift with new bushing and custom handle. Windows are all tinted, and the doors shaved. Doors work with a remote and two interior switches. Kenwood stereo with usb and headphone hook up. Interior has 4 speakers and tweeters. This car looks and handles great. Could be a nice track car with a few mods. Gets a lot of attention! Local Pick-up OnlyCash, Wire Transfer, Certified Check - Title and Vehicle will be released only when Funds clear. Happy Bidding!
