Vehicle Detail

Great for advertising, show or just plain cool to own it! I have never owned a vehicle that gets so much positive attention! Thumbs up, smiling faces, people waving wherever you go is the norm in this truck! Stageway Armbruster Apache series 5 door panel bus, extremely rare. California wagon since new. I believe it was used as a tour bus originally in Laguna Beach/ Newport Beach (still has Tommy Aires Laguna Beach dealer frame) areas. Then sold to a church in OC in the the early/mid 1970s, then sold to a private party in the late 1980s, I then acquired it. I have owned it for years but, need the space. Seats 13 comfortably. It is equipped with factory elaborate Air Conditioning (not currently functioning). Factory built in the day in extremely limited numbers and these unusual buses were very expensive. I recently acquired a sales brochure for this particular vehicle I will include with sale. Good solid body, I had it sanded down and repainted years ago what I believe was the original colors. Looks very presentable. Chrome, aluminum and stainless are the original and decent for driver. Some of the aluminum around the side glass needs to be polished and detailed but, decent for its age. Engine (283 V-8) runs good and moves it around quite well. It will require a tune up and basic service before any regular use again. The water pump was replaced a year or two ago (along with antifreeze) as well as the master/slave cylinder and rear brakes. Engine is quiet as a mouse but, muffler will need to be changed eventually, looks to be original. 4 speed manual trans shifts quite well for such a vehicle. I don't really drive it much so I never replaced the tires. I never felt the need as I just occasionally drive it in and out of carport and or around the block. It is a show stopper wherever it goes! It will need tires if you plan on driving it any distance. I never really got around to working on the air conditioning system, it appears the A/C clutch needs to be replaced (and recharged) at the least. It was also optionally equipped with Chrysler's duel temp air conditioning in rear as well (not shown). I have that unit should you want it. Headlights, taillights, running lights and dome lights all seem to work fine. The interior is very nice overall. I recently had all the seats, headliner, drivers compartment carpets professionally reupholstered nearly to exact match of the original. Looks beautiful, cost me nearly $4000.00! The rubber flooring in rear and side panels are the originals and in decent 50 year old used condition. It was too cool to replace. All 5 doors weather-stripping was replaced along with new windshield and gasket. I have not changed any vent window rubber etc. I have clear title in my name, it is registered current in California. I would strongly recommend like with any classic car trailering any real distance as the tires are 20 years old +- and you should have your mechanic check all belts, hoses and change any needed fluids etc.as it has not been in regular use.
