1991 GMC Syclone #2211
This is a unique and hard to find truck. About 3,000 of them were produced and they are getting harder and harder to find in any kind of decent condition. I won't list all the details here because if you are looking at this truck you probably already know all about them. But if you aren't familiar with them just do a quick google search and you will see why these trucks are so special.
This particular truck is a one owner truck - even though Autocheck claims two owners. It was owned by a local guy and stored in a barn just a few miles from my office for the last 12-13 years. The reason it was parked was because of a transmission fluid leak that as near as we can tell is coming from the front input seal behind the torque converter. It hadn't been driven or started for all these years but stored inside. This truck is all original inside and out including the paint and interior. The only thing that has been changed or modified is that the factory muffler has been removed and straight pipes welded in.
The owner recently decided to clean out his barn and sell this truck. It was brought to us on a rollback and we proceeded to get it into running condition. We replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, battery, spark plugs, wires, engine oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, one front brake caliper, brake pads, and one brake hose. This truck does run and lot drive, however you will need to trailer it home, as it still has the transmission seal leak and it has not been road tested or state inspected. I did verify that the turbo works and makes boost.
The other things that we noted were a slightly bent rim on the right rear, an ABS light that is illuminated and the ABS motor runs when the brakes are applied. There are no other warning lights illuminated, all the gauges and odometer seem to work. The A/C compressor runs but I do not know if the A/C will still blow cold or not. There does not appear to be any leaks other than the transmission seal but with any vehicle that has sat this long there is bound to be something that will show up eventually.
Cosmetically this truck is a really good restoration candidate or daily driver material. The paint has suffered from neglect, but it shines up nicely. There are a few spots where it has peeled off. The body is real straight with no rust. The body cladding is loose on both front fenders and I think the lower valance on the front bumper is cracked or a little chunk missing on the one end. The factory bed cover is aged and torn in a few places around the edges and has come loose at the front of the bed but it still keeps stuff dry inside.
The interior is nearly perfect and all original. It still smells like a new Scylone inside.
Just to make sure you understand, this truck runs and lot drives only. It will need to be trailered and cannot be driven home.

That is why we have 30 day temporary tags and registration for you to drive home on. We will not sell any salvage, flooded, or rebuilt vehicles. And we guarantee a clear title with no odometer problems.
We do not sell any vehicle that we wouldn't drive ourselves. As a matter of fact, we often put a couple hundred miles on the vehicles before we list them. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.
Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways. Your trade-ins are welcome as well. Please call us before the end of the auction if you wish to trade a vehicle.
