Up for sale is a rare 1971 Dodge Short Bed pick-up. I know everyone says their truck is rare, but these really are. Most pick ups in 1971 were either long beds or step sides. This is a short bed of the infamous sweptside. These are few and far between. They fetch over $10K when completed. This truck came out of the Nevada desert, the engine is not running at this time but it does turn over with no problem. I was going to make this into a pro-touring truck, but have lost my job and I can not afford to make her into what she deserves. The interior is in great condition, with fairly new upholstery and door panels. The is some surface rust but nothing rusted thru. All emblems have been removed and welded. Just need to complete the body work at those areas. The gas tank behind the seat was relocated, this was done when I got it. It is now in the pick up bed. I was going to relocate to the spare tire area with a fuel cell. It comes with 4 Ansen Sprint wheels 15". These are hard to come by, but are included with the truck. The truck was originally a 4 speed manual, but someone has added a automatic. Do not know if it works. I will include a 727 torqueflite transmission, and a good tail gate with the sale. With pick-up truck values going up all the time, and this one being a rare shortbed, this would be a great investment. I do not want to sell but circumstances dictate that I do. Besides it does no good just sitting on my trailer in my driveway. Again the body is straight and dry. Only surface rust! Don't let this one get away! Priced to sell immediately!!!!
