Vehicle Detail

*NO RESERVE* Burn victim 1965 Plymouth Barracuda "Formula S". Rebuilt "273" Commando V8 with a "833" 4 speed trans and posi traction rearend. Car has a clear Nevada title and runs great. I'm listing this car for a good friend of mine. His house unfortunately burned down 3 years ago and the Barracuda was in the garage... This was his baby and he put a lot of time, money, and hard work into it. The car is fixable but he has decided to let someone else take on the challenge. This car would also be a great donor car for another Barracuda or any 60's "A" body Mopar. The driveline is sound! The main damage to the car is the roof. It is smashed and warped from heat. The front clip, doors, and quarter panels are still good. The car could be saved by sectioning in a replacement roof panel at the factory seams. The trunk lid is also damaged and would need to be replaced. All the glass is missing as well. The car has a lot of smoke damage so it looks uglier than it actually is. Interior got toasty but the bucket seat frames, dash, etc. are still usable. Rear seat is missing. Engine compartment got just hot enough to start melting the wiring loom casing. There again, it has smoke damage but everything still works as it did. Everything still works on the car except the taillights... Charging system still works. Car starts, runs, and drives just as it did before the fire. Engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago and only has about 1,000 break in miles on it. Block is bored .010 over and crank was ground .010 / .010 under. Has MOPAR "XtremeEnergy" mechanical flat tappet cam and lifters #312-P5155567 and high volume oil pump. Has factory intake manifold with Edelbrock carb. All accessories were new at time of rebuild as well: Water pump, fuel pump, starter, alternator, radiator / hoses, exhaust system, etc. Engine also has an upgraded Mopar electronic distributor / ignition. A new clutch / pressure plate were installed at time of rebuild. "833" 4-speed trans was also serviced and shifts perfectly. 7 1/4" Posi traction rear end has also been serviced. *Car has no leaks* Wheels are rare early Keystone 14"x6" mags with the small 5 on 4" Mopar pattern and are in great condition. This is a Nevada car so it is fairly rust free. The only rust I could find is in the drivers side rear quarter panel (see pics). Floors, rocker panels, doors, fenders, and trunk floor are all rust free. Passengers side rocker panel is dented and both quarter panels have bondo in them. Front clip and doors seem to be bondo free. This "Formula S" was originally silver with a black racing stripe. With a windshield and taillights you could start driving this car tomorrow... It's a shame that this car was in the fire but hopefully someone can fix it or use it to help restore their "A" body Mopar. Please email me at kruzin62@aol.com with any questions.
