Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 ** I am Selling this for a friend, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY** *No reserve auction** Offered in this no reserve auction is an extremely clean Volvo 245 with a rare stick shift and color combination. Many thousands have been invested in both maintenance and quality performance upgrades. All work performed by professional mechanic(s). This car can be driven anywhere in the US with complete confidence - fly in and drive it home. Recent upgrades: Engine 1984 B23 Bottom end bored and stroked to 2.6L. Rebuilt with Wiesco chevy pistons (305 ci), forged crank, Mitsubishi h-beam rods. Heavily worked 531 Volvo (not marine) head with RSI valves and springs. RSI stage III cam. IPD adjustable timing gear. Compression is at 10:1 I've owned several stock turbos and this NA engine pulls much harder with lots of low end grunt. I have a Weber 45 DCOE set up available for extra $ which would put this engine over 200 HP. 6500 miles on engine since rebuild. Exhaust 2.5" custom mandrel bent system with Dynomax muffler. System exits in same way as stock.Throaty sound but comfortable on the highway. Suspension IPD lowering springs (blue), urethane bushings, IPD 28mm sway bars, KYB gas shocks (white) New Dunlop sport tires 240 turbo wheels. Misc Car shifts great with shortened throw and RSI shifter bushings. Car has smaller steering wheel from '83 turbo. I added large tachometer and small clock along with oil pressure gauge. A/C works but could use a charge. The interior is perfect with the exception of a 1.5" tear on drivers side left seat bolster - hard to see in pics. The underside of car is perfectly clean with no rust. There was a small area of surface rust on the tailgate that I cleaned and treated with POR 15 and there was a similar spot on the left quarter panel. There are some small bubbles showing around the windshield but is surface only. The windshield has a 3" crack that has grown in the 2 years it's been there. My plan was to treat the rust bubbles when replacing the windshield. All fluids have been changed recently including trans and rear diff (Redline). The IPD plug wires are new as are all belts and hoses. 100 amp alternator is 8 months old. The car had a front end alignment in June and cruises down the highway at 75mph with no vibration. On a trip to Montreal in July I averaged 28 mpg. This car is good candidate for a mild "plus turbo" conversion or you could run the Webers for even more performance. The Bosch EFI system is stock but responded pretty well to the engine build. Engine is currently using the stock exhaust manifold but headers would be a good upgrade - esp. with the 2.5" exhaust. Please call 864-430-1241 with any questions. Car is currently located in Greenville, SC. Depending on distance seller might be willing to deliver to Eastern US Terms of Sale: Winning bidder MUST submit a $500 PayPal deposit on car within 24 hours of auction close. Remaining balance will be paid in ca$h only. Winner is also responsible for picking up the vehicle. Will assist in pickup/transport of the vehicle if needed.
