Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 2001 Buick Le Sabre Limited owned by a single family with 142,000 miles. This Buick is in great shape for being 12 years old. The car was my daily driver until last week when I purchased a new car. I was planning on keeping the car as my daily driver for several more years, but I have 4 children and a wife and we could not all fit in the Buick. I just needed to get a car with 3 rows of seating so all of us could fit in. The car drives great with the usual rattles and squeaks you would expect from a 12 year old car. The body is in great shape – no rust or dents and with only a few scratches in the paint. The interior is in great shape. No rips in the leather seats and no major stains in the carpet. The car runs very well with nothing that I know of wrong mechanically. The Air Conditioning works great. This car was purchased brand new by my Grandfather. After he passed away, it went to my mother for a few years and then she gave it to me. The car has never been in a wreck and nothing major has happened to it. All 3 of us (Grandfather, Mother, and me) have kept the car in a garage Here is what I know is wrong with the Buick · She needs new rear shocks. I was going to replace these this fall, but now I’m selling the car. · The rear windows are stuck up (will not go up/down). This does not bother me as both the front windows go up and down. This did bother my kids. · The heater / Air Conditioning blower is starting to go. It does work but it should be replaced soon. I have sometimes needed to hit the blower housing to get the blower to start. You will need this for the defroster this winter. · The car’s start-up diagnostic tells me “gas cap loose Check Cap” but the cap is on tight. Maybe it needs a new cap? This does not affect anything that I know of · The service engine soon light is on. As this is just an emission control issue – I have not bothered to fix it. · She has a rattle. I believe one of the heat shields under the car is loose. I was going to fix this when I changed the shocks – but now I’m selling it. Kelly Blue book has the car at about $3,322 (Good Condition)
