This beautiful Impala is the last of the rear-wheel-drive Impala Super Sports. This example has been meticulously maintained and cared for. It is a classic that you will be able to enjoy for years to come. This particular Super Sport has been preserved by the temperate climate of the Pacific Northwest. To this day, it remains rust and corrosion free.

The exterior appears to retain its original tuxedo black paint. The body panels are straight and the panel gap and fitment is factory. A recent detail and polish brought out the full luster and shine of the paint. The combination of the black paint job and 5-spoke alloy wheels create an aggressive look. This is not your average family sedan and it has the performance to back up the look.
The Impala rolls on the factory Super Sport special edition wheels. The wheels are wrapped in nearly new tires size P225/50/R17. The wheels are very nice with some minor scrapes from curbs.
All the exterior glass is crystal clear and scratch free without any delamination or imperfections. Look closely at the photos and you'll notice the original factory stamping on the glass. Even the black trim around the glass is nice. The body side moldings and bumpers are original and dent free.
Open the doors and you will find the luxurious, yet sporty interior is in impeccable condition. The seats are upholstered in the original Gray leather. The front driver and passenger are treated to bolstered bucket seats that hold you in place. 1996 was the final year for this style Impala and the only year to include a floor-mounted shifter between the bucket seats instead of a column mounted shifter.
The interior is as luxurious as it is sporty. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and both front seats are power adjustable. The stereo is a high-end CD system that will enable you to bring your tunes along too and the air conditioning blows ice cold. In the pictures you will find a clean ashtray and cigarette lighter. The interior is smoke free and has no odors.
In the door jams you will find soft and supple weather-stripping. From the carpet to the headliner the interior looks like it just came out of the factory. The dashboard is crack free and doesn't show any sun fading. The 1996 model year also included analog gauges and a tachometer. All the gauges in this particular Impala function properly.
The carpet is stain free and stands tall with no signs of wear marks. The door panels are very straight and do not have any signs of warping from the elements. Inside the trunk, you will find the factory carpeting along with the original jack, spare tire, and tool kit. All of which, appear to have never been used!
Being a Super Sport, this Impala included a number of performance upgrades over the regular Chevrolet Caprice. Starting with the suspension, the SS package sits 1 inch lower and rides on performance tuned shocks and springs. The rear differential is also a limited slip unit allowing the full power of the LT1 engine to reach the ground.
Under the hood, you will find a tidy and clean engine compartment. The original stickers and body tags can still be found. The SS package includes an upgraded Chevrolet 350 V8, known as the LT1. The LT1 shares its roots with the Corvette and puts out gobs of power. This particular motor starts instantly and settles into a smooth idle that breathes through dual exhaust.The engine is paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through all the gears.
This Impala was driven but never abused and it really shows in the way it looks and drives. Here is your chance to own a clean and affordable performance sedan. They are only original once and this one is being offered at no reserve.
