1958 Buick Special This unique car was listed a few weeks ago but the buyer was unable to pay, so here we go again. Here is a rare opportunity to own an outstanding 1958 Buick Special with only 36,846 miles. The photos tell the story. Original interior including seats and the rear seats have been protected with 2 layers of seat covers, clear plastic and a fabric cover. The interior seat fabric is clean and unworn - looks great! Original paint and chrome. All the instruments, dash lights, turn signals, horn, and radio are working. The only thing not working is the windshield wipers. Vacuum? The car will start up right away, idles smooth, and is drivable but the tires do show some weather cracking. You might need new tires if you intend to drive it away any significant distance. The owner can work with you if you want new tires installed. Brakes work fine. The is a little crankcase oil leak but nothing unusual for a '58. The car has been continuously garaged since 1958. The car belongs to my friend George Tomsco, the lead guitar player for the legendary rock band - The Fireballs. George's band had a number of top ten guitar instrumental hits and in 1963 had the biggest selling song of the year, Sugar Shack. In 1968 they had a top ten hit with Bottle of Wine. This car has been George's personal rock 'n roll cruiser.
