It is electric had new seals put in. Has new low profile tires with less then 1000 miles on them. And BMW M-6 19" wheels from a 2010 M-6 Beemer. That was all installed about 6000 miles ago. New state of the art suspension with new control arms. This car is amazing and was way ahead of its time when it came out in 1991. This car itself was manufactured in Jan. 1991. It has a memory telescopic wheel with power everything including locks, doors, seats, windows, and mirrors. Everything works. Newly charged air conditioning. A/C is ice cold. Also brand new heater core. Lights, turn signals, hazards, brake and tail lights all work. This car cost around $100,00 new. The BMW 850i is one of the most outrageous super- cars in a generation. With monster V12 power and a 6-speed manual gearbox in a sleek 2-seater with a world-class suspension and legendary BMW driving dynamics. Even though it's 20 years old, it's still difficult to believe that this much luxury and performance is available for so little cash. There aren't many cars from the early 90s that could compete with the 850 in terms of performance or style, and the 850 still looks contemporary. The long hood and short deck emphasize the big V12 under the hood, and with folding headlights, the shark-like profile definitely looks the part of the king of the street. With a cost approaching six figures in 1991, you got paint that was far beyond basic assembly line and it was definitely worth it, because this coupe still looks fantastic. Pillarless hardtop styling recalls the great cars of the past, but BMW was definitely looking forward with their slick top-of-the-line coupe and there's nothing on the body that doesn't look purposeful and sleek. No tacked-on spoilers or other maladies that seem to mar great designs of the era, just a powerful-looking coupe that carries immense presence, even today. Show up in this car and people will assume that you've got it made. BMW's reputation for being performance-oriented doesn't come by accident, and the sporting buckets are both supportive and all-day comfortable, designed to hammer from Paris to Munich at triple-digit speeds. Everything was standard, including power seats, windows, and locks, climate control, a trip computer, and a powerful stereo that still impresses today. The 6-speed manual gearbox utterly transforms the 8-series from comfortable boulevardier to autobahn missile, and like all BMW transmissions, it's a joy to run it through the gears. Everything on this car works and it still blasts along in eerie silence until you stomp the loud pedal and the V12 erupts with the most amazing Wagnerian symphony you've ever heard thanks to a Magnaflow exhaust system. BMW really stared the luxury horsepower wars with this 5.0-liter V12 engine. With 48 valves and those individual intake runners, it looks like industrial sculpture, but with more than 300 horsepower on tap, it runs like a big block muscle car that went to finishing school. Early 8s were saddled with lazy ZF 4-speed slushboxes, but when BMW dropped a 6-speed behind it, all bets were off, creating what is arguably one of the best grand touring cars of the past 50 years. It's completely stock, too, which means reliability is uncompromised and enthusiasts will note that these engines are typically quite reliable and long-lived with proper care, so this one has obviously been loved.!On Sep-21-13 at 22:54:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear it has 10,000 dollars in recent upgrades!
