96 800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1961 Chevrolet Apache 10 Pickup Truck A wonderful pickup truck with less than 67,000 actual miles. I purchased it from a good friend who found it garaged on a farm in Oklahoma. He was so taken with it that he proceeded to have it restored to its original condition. It was in such good condition that the restoration consisted of new paint and some tender loving care. It has the original 6 cylinder 235 HP engine. It has Factory torsion bar suspension. It now has a automatic transmission. I changed the rear end to be more highway friendly. I have installed the much needed power steering. Whew ! No more armstrong. I have installed air-conditioning. I have installed a new manifold with a 4-barrel carburetor and duel exhaust. The bumpers were painted white from the Factory, but I have had them Chromed. The body and paint are in excellent condition with just a few of the normal little chip spots. Not very noticeable at all. One of the photos shows a tiny bit of rust coming through, easily reparable. I just finished putting in a new oak bed, as seen in the photos. The radio is similar to the original, but retrofit to play AM and FM. Very good rubber on the tires. Anything that has to be done to this truck now is very minor. Oops, almost forgot, cruise control also. The photographs tell the story for the most part. This truck looks great, runs and rides great. Everything about this truck is wonderful. Everybody loves the little ol’ green pickup truck.You see very few of this vintage Chevrolet Pickup Truck.
