Vehicle Detail

1969 Lincoln Continental Coupe Justin 503-969-5127 Attention Don Draper.. Your car is ready! Hello all out in eBay land! Please take a few moments and look at this survivor that I found. This is a completely original totally documented Oregon 1969 Lincoln Continental Coupe. Not only is it bone stock, it is also wonderfully preserved. The documentation on this car is the stuff of legend. I have every document all the way back to the beginning. We are talking about a LOT of receipts. They fill a binder. It’s fun just to read them, and the notes the owner wrote on them too! It comes with a 5 volume shop manual set too. Because of the record keeping and lifelong ownership history of this car I can sell the car knowing the actual miles are 132,698. Don’t be fooled by older vehicles with 5 digit odometers believing that the miles have never gone past 99,999. Unless you have documentation proving otherwise, the miles are legally unknown. The only thing not original on the car is the master cylinder that I just purchased, and also the NAPA industrial battery I just had installed. Everything else has been in a time capsule otherwise known as an old man’s garage for the last 44 years. The car spent its life in Eugene, Oregon.. home of the U of O Ducks and the original Animal House. The receipts are all from shops in Eugene. As far as I can tell the paint is all factory sprayed.. It is thin on a few of the sharp angles but I would say that you would be hard pressed to find a more uniform and original finish on any car this old. The paint was dull when I got the car, but rather than buff it all and remove a fine layer of color, I just hand waxed it. It looks really good, but could be great with the right guy on the buffing wheel. The nose of the car has stone chips that have never been touched up, but that is the worst area of the car and it’s not that bad. Again, I wanted to show and sell the car in the most survivor/original condition I could. All the chrome is straight and free of any damage or worn areas. The original vinyl top is absolutely mint with zero bubbling or lifting of any kind. The windshield and all of the glass is all perfect. The interior looks unused. All original and all beautiful. Nothing out of place or repaired ever. There is the ring of a stain on one of the front seats that I did not even try to clean. The power windows are lightning fast and all of the power options work as they should. The carpet fibers are straight and bright with no signs of heavy wear or matting. The factory clear floor mats are included and still beautiful too. The original 8 Track is still mounted in the dash and works too.. although the am stations are weak around here. The Lincoln runs and drives every bit as well as it looks. The 460cu in 4 Barrel Carb V8 starts easily with just 2 or 3 pumps of the accelerator pedal when cold or just the turn of the key once warmed up. No smoking or leaking or dripping or knocking. It does require a full minute to fully prepare itself to be driven. I always treat this car tenderly as should the new owner. The transmission is smooth between gears and reacts exactly as it should in all situations. From downshifts to hard accelerations from a dead stop there are no issues whatsoever. The brakes are new all the way around and so is the master cylinder. The brakes stop absolutely straight and true. The car is also perfectly aligned and has no wander in the wheel at any speed. No vibrations or rattles or issues in the foreseeable future. I would say that the tires are 60% or better and are all the proper matching whitewall radials by Marshal. There is NO rust in the car. Hopefully you can tell by the underside pictures, but I also want to spell it out. There are NO soft areas under the carpet on the floorboards or repaired areas in the trailing areas of the wheel wells or rocker panels. This car is and always has been dry as a bone. Even the harshest critics will appreciate this car for its originality. Please keep in mind that other than an exterior wash and hand wax, this car has not been cleaned or detailed. This is the real car just as I found it. I did this so you could see that this is not some mouse house barn find, made to look pretty again with spit and polish. This is an honest survivor that has been road ready for 44 years. This Lincoln is as original as they come and is also reliable enough to use every day. It has all of the vintage appeal that makes this car a great choice for collectability and enough style for Leroy Brown or Don Draper. I am setting the reserve very low and I know the Continental will sell the first go around as long as we all play by these rules. #1. Only bid if you have intentions to buy. #2. Ask any and all questions before bidding. #3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback. #4. This is an AS-IS sale. I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees except a clean and clear legal title after payment. #5.
