Up for auction is a chance to own an extremely well maintained 1979 Corvette. This vehicle comes with its original "pink slip" and a very large stack of maintenance records dating back to when it was new. Lots of service records and other invoices have been collected by the first and second adult owners. Both are friends and have kept this corvette garaged and babied since 79. The Corvette is in excellent condition and the pictures show it, the body is straight and damage free. This is a non-smoker vehicle and is clean inside out. The paint looks great, its been washed and waxed often and since its under a cover most of the time it still shines very well. It was driven mainly on the weekends. The T-tops are Glass and in like new condition. The exhaust system looks almost new and has chrome tips. The Engine is a 5.7L 350ci V8 and it feels extremely strong, it does not have a problem keeping up with todays modern cars. The 2nd Owner had the transmission rebuilt a little while back and it shifts into each gear nice and strong with no hesitations. The corvettes interior is my favorite part, it is in excellent condition. It has Tilt and Telescopic steering, power windows, power locks, original tape deck from when it was new and all the gauges light up at night like they should. The milage states 7790 but i confirmed with the 2nd owner that it has rolled over one time, so the real milage is 107,790 which is still very good considering this cars age. The vette also has its original classic california plates which i thought were very nice. The first owner installed the classic enkei wheels back in the early 80s and they still look like new, no blemishes or damage, still shine bright. The 2nd owner installed a very expensive aluminum radiator so the corvette has no problems sitting in traffic or taking long drives. This Corvette is one you come upon very rarely and i hope it goes into another collectors garage under a cover. If i had more room at home and less cars i would NEVER sell this Corvette.
