Vehicle Detail

Mechanical:The engine fired up roughly after the timing belt was installed in December. It was immediately shut down to prevent any occurring damages to the dependent components. However, the improper timing belt installation caused the loss of engine compression due to bent valve stems. I was quoted $500 in labor minus the parts. I am not interested in venturing down the path of investment any further. The highest bidder with patience and the resources will have an excellent vehicle in their possession. Interior:The leather seats are slightly worn as expected over time. However, there are no loose seams and/or tears in the firm yet supple leather. All cabin buttons, levers, locks and lights were in working order before tragedy befell her. Exterior:She can use a good wash! Performance:Keep in mind that the battery is dead and I can only provide an approximation on the mileage. The odometer might have + or - 3000 on the 185,000 miles listed. I also have left some of her components disconnected under the hood, such as a pulley, belts and hoses. This should not be a problem since they will need to be removed for any new work to be completed. Front and Rear brakes done a year ago. The ignition always fired up quickly. The car drove straight. AC was cold. Heat worked. Wipers worked. No check engine lights or related problems to report in the past. The suspension was a glide, the handling was tight, the shifting was flawless. Note:Please prepare your own form of transportation of the XC70 from the premises within 7 days from the end of the auction. The vehicle report shows two accidents. Only one is valid. The first was before I came into possession of the vehicle 4 years ago as a slight accident. The previous owner reported a ding on the door. Nothing that concerned me at the time of my purchase. The second was in the parking lot of a McDonald's. Someone filed a hit and run accident against us. We were not aware of this until we were notified by mail from our insurance company about a week later. Upon inquiry with the police department, they informed us after an investigation that it was most likely an insurance scam perpetrated by the person who reported us. The claimant was never identified. Since no damage was done to my vehicle, the whole matter was dropped although it still appears on the vehicle's history. At this point of the XC70's life, it is not worth my effort to remove this false tarnish from her past. Me:I am not a dealer. I am a private seller with 100% FB. I attempt to list as accurately as possible. However, I am human and am therefore prone to unintentional oversight and errors. Furthermore, I do not claim nor do I imply to know the full history of the vehicle as I have only owned it for approximately 4 years. You:Before you take my word(s) or engage in the gears of commerce, you have the right to inspect the vehicle before the end of the auction. The XC70:Is selling AS IS in all its glory.
