information@RKMotorsCharlotte.com 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 2010 Dodge Mr. Norm's Garage Challenger Super Mr. Norm's Super Challenger 6.1L HEMI 650 HP 6 Speed Year: 2010 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 4796 Transmission type: 6 Speed Manual Engine: 6.1 Liter Hemi V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle info Back in the day, Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge was one of the kings of Mopar performance. In case you are unfamiliar with this legendary Chicago area dealership, Mr. Norm's took Mopar muscle cars and added a vast array of bolt-on goodies to make the cars go faster. If you were to take your local Dodge dealer and a speed shop and throw them into a blender, Mr. Norm's would be the resulting recipe. Over the past years, the Mr. Norm's brand was reintroduced to the market, with pretty much the same formula: take stock offerings from Ma Mopar, blend in tuned and tested performance parts and create modern Mopar Muscle Cars that kick tail and take names on the street and on the strip. Their recently introduced Challenger packages take an already appealing car and transform it into an unbeatable street performer with OEM reliability, classic good looks and a proverbial waiting list of buyers. Because of that excellent pedigree and super rare status, Mr. Norm's cars leave our showroom almost as fast as they arrive. The Legends Cuda pilot car we received in August lasted only a month before it was snatched up for $100K. Before that, Sox & Martin Challenger number 001 had a short stay in our showroom and sold for right around$60K. Inspired by the original 1971 Mr. Norm's Super Challenger, this low production 2009 Super Challenger is the direct result of what happens when one of the guys who practically pioneered funny car racing gets his hands on one of the baddest Hemi powered cars to ever hit the streets. With only 4,797 miles on its odometer, this 2009 Dodge started life at Chrysler's Brampton Canada manufacturing facility where it was covered in a spectacular coat of B5 Blue Pearl Metallic. Dubbed by Dodge as the "Spring Special" only 250 Challenger SRT-8s were painted B5 Blue Pearl Metallic for the 2009 model year, and the fact that this one received the Mr. Norm's treatment makes it even rarer. Up front, an unaltered Challenger header panel houses HID headlights and a honeycomb grille in a traditional black fascia. Detailed silver and chrome rings around the headlights perfectly match the stainless appearing grille surround and complement a chrome passenger's side "Challenger" emblem and a chrome driver's side "SRT" emblem. Below the grille, the front bumper houses a second small air intake that is centered between pristine round fog lights and sits above a black plastic SCCA style chin spoiler. At the top of the grille, a chrome and black ram's head emblem leads your eye to the cars raised hood that has been painted a smooth coat of flat black courtesy of Mr. Norm's Garage. On the sides of the hood, chrome "6.1" emblems complement chrome "HEMI" emblems with gloss black inlays and are affixed to the side of functional scoops. Behind the hood, all glass is factory equipment, shows no chips or staining of any kind and even includes a power operated and black tinted sun roof. At the sides of the car, custom Mr. Norm's decals run along the body lines from the top of the front fenders to the top of the rear fenders and give the car a cool updated retro look. Incorporated into those decals is Mr. Norm's signature scripts that sit at the back of the front fenders and connect a visual arc around the cowl with the cars chrome hood emblems. The sides of the car feature no chrome or bright work with the exception of the factory driver's side fuel cap which has a nice retro feel. Out back, the cars flat black SRT-8 rear decklid spoiler perfectly matches its flat black hood and features a passenger's side mounted "Mr. Norm's" badge. Below that spoiler, a body width Challenger tail light panel is as clear as when it left the showroom floor and sits above a stylized rear bumper that incorporates stainless factory exhaust tips. The B5 Blue Pearl paint on this car absolutely glows; and when combined with Mr. Norm's black accents and black chrome SRT-8 wheels, it looks both unique and sinister. As we all know Mr. Norm's has never been about just stripes and stickers. Straight from the factory this SRT exclusive Hemi makes impressive performance numbers, but with the help of a Kenne Bell intercooled supercharger, the power goes from wild to insane. Measuring in at roughly 370 cubic inches, Chrysler's 6.1 liter Hemi uses a revised block with a 4.06 bore, custom cooling channels, a forged crank, lighter pistons with strengthened connecting rods, new oil jets, variable cam timing, increased flow heads, and an aluminum intake that is specifically tuned for higher RPM performance to crank out a 10.3 to 1 compression ratio and 425 horsepower. Mr. Norm's garage has upfitted the motor with a liquid cooled Kenne Bell supercharger and a Mr. Norm's designed custom throttle body that bumps power up to 650 tire melting horses that will be more than enough forward thrust to dispatch just about anything on the road. Visually, the engine compartment comes together just as well as the outside of the car does. The install is exceptionally clean and looks tidy enough to be an OEM package. The big blower sits front and center above stainless fuel rails and red, black and silver "Hemi 6.1L" engine covers and features subtle blue "Kenne Bell Liquid Cooled Supercharger" emblems. On the throttle body and on the left side of the core support, Mr. Norm's badging confirms what the astute already know; that this is much more than just a tricked out Challenger. The bottom of the car is completely stock and ready to hit the road. The 650hp engine sends power to the cars factory Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. That transmission spins a new for 2009 limited slip differential with tall 3.92 gears. All SRT-8 Challengers are equipped with a sport tuned suspension and stability and traction control from the factory. At the front of the car, a wishbone independent suspension includes a heavy duty stabilizer bar, coil springs and variable ratio speed assisted power steering. At the back of the car, a multi-link independent suspension houses another heavy duty stabilizer bar and two more coil springs. Braking is handled by factory equipped four wheel Brembo disc brakes with slotted and ventilated rotors, red four piston calipers and a built in electronically controlled anti-lock system. The engine breaths through a stainless factory exhaust system that exits under the rear bumper. At the corners of the car, fantastic looking Alcoa forged aluminum black chrome wheels measure 20 inches in diameter and feature chrome raised ram's head center caps, chrome lug nuts and stamped SRT-8 logos. Mounted to those slick wheels are sticky 245/45 Z-rated Goodyear Eagle F1 radials. The bottom of this car is exceptionally clean and looks essentially brand new. It is highly unlikely that it has ever been taken out in the rain or even seen and rogue mud puddle. Inside the car, Mr. Norm's took an already nice design and made it even better with OEM quality upgrades. All of the factory luxury and equipment was retained in the conversion, including the factory air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control, vehicle information center and eight way power adjustable heated seats. In the middle of the dash you'll find touch screen navigation with a built in AM/FM stereo, CD/DVD player, auxiliary MP3 input and Sirius satellite radio connectivity. Hooked to that stereo is a six speaker Boston Acoustics sound system that is complete with an optional 13 inch Kicker speaker, an optional kicker subwoofer and an optional kicker amplifier. The gauge pod features silver faced SRT-8 gauges which look great behind the silver spoke tilt and telescoping, leather wrapped steering wheel. And a set of chrome foot pedals contrasts well against like-new black carpet that is protected by signature Mr. Norm's floor mats. At the top of the windshield, a self-dimming rear view mirror houses a microphone for the cars Uconnect hands free phone system which features built in voice command. The console mounted sliding arm rest and all seats have been recovered with leather and suede Mr. Norm's covers that feature silver stitching and prominently display blue accents and blue Mr. Norm's logos. To put a modern spin on a classic look, a slick carbon fiber pistol grip shift knob is attached to a Mr. Norm's chrome shifter which now controls the 6-speed Tremec. On the passenger's side of the dash, a black and chrome Mr. Norm's emblem sits above the cars factory "Challenger SRT" dash badging. Behind the cockpit, the power operated trunk lid reveals a factory fresh storage area that includes the cars optional Kicker audio equipment. Safety features include dual front and rear air bags, side curtain airbags, keyless entry, keyless ignition and a factory anti-theft system. Documentation for this car includes the original window sticker the original owner's manual and the original owner's booklets for the cars warranty and various features. With only 4,797 miles on its odometer, this 2009 Super Challenger is the perfect car for someone who wants a weekend cruiser that's going to increase in value over the long term. It is a brilliantly executed low production tuner car that is priced at a steal and has unmatched performance credentials.
