I bought this Scout out of a small town in New Mexico from a guy who inherited them from his father. He didn't know much about it other than he started it himself not to long ago. Everything on the motor seems to be there. There is surface rust but this is a desert vehicle so it's not going to be to the extent of a vehicle out of the east; the passenger floor board did have a spot about 3"x3" that rusted through. I put a battery in it and turned it over but I do think the bendix for the starter needs adjustment or fixing. The body has a couple dings here and there but as a whole it's actually pretty straight. I always wanted a Scout and finally got one but now I realize I don't have the time or ability to restore it. It's just a solid vehicle that has the ability to be really nice with work.
