Selling my 1966 "C" code Mustang coupe. Original 289 and C-4 automatic transmission were both rebuilt a couple years ago and run excellent. Trans shifts very smooth through all gears. Lots of power coming from this small block Ford with the added upgrades of an Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 4 barrel carb, Hooker long-tube headers with all new GT exhaust, Mallory distributor, and a few other performance add-ons. Great acceleration off the line and it sounds very healthy with dual Flowmaster mufflers. The Mustang was painted back in 2008 with a dark shade of red and cloned to be a GT car. It already has everything offered in the 66’ GT models minus the front fog lights and rally-Pac. All the exterior chrome is nice and clean and most of the misc parts like bumpers, parking lights, back up lights, door handles, ect.. have been replaced. It has a nice stance that can be adjusted with rear air shocks. Car also has traction bars for better take off. Interior is clean and this is an original factory bench seat car as well. Dash looks good with all the original Mustang parts including AM radio. There's an aftermarket stereo concealed in the glove box that sounds great! All electrical works good including the Heater. New weather-stripping throughout the car recently changed. Car has newer 15" chrome Cragar racing wheels. Drum brakes all around with a new power brake booster that helps the car stop on a dime. Factory power steering with a newly rebuilt control valve assembly. Car is very solid with all original fenders, doors, quarter panels, floor pans and frame rails. Car doesn't appear to have ever been in an accident either. This pony is very reliable and gets attention wherever I drive it. Would make a good daily driver if you don't mind paying for gas at the pump. The only issues I can honestly say the car has is a small power steering fluid leak coming from the front pump. It might need a rebuild soon or a replacement ($120 for new one). The other thing is that the car sat in storage for a couple years and the tags are expired now so if you want to register the car here in California it will need to have the back DMV fees paid off ($).That only applies if you are registering it in California, any other state or country does not have to pay those fees. Aside from that she's ready for a new home and decades of road life ahead of her. I have a clean CA title in hand ready to be transferred. Car is available for inspection anytime during this listing.
