Vehicle Detail
2000 Ford F150 extended cab (4 doors) 4x4. Good solid truck. Electronic four wheel drive. Body great shape with no rust but has some key scratches on both sides, a few very minor dings, 4x4 transfer works great in high and low, tranny great, rear-end great, front end great, good tires, tinted windows, sliding rear back glass, nerf bars, interior good, air, custom grill, auto, complete bed liner, 5.4 triton V-8, Tow package, has the spoiler on bottom of front bumper with fog lights, has two tow hooks on front, cruise, tilt wheel, power windows, power locks, has 274k mileage on truck itself but motor was replaced in Feb 2011. Motor has around 100,000 on it. Needs front brakes(has a little shimmey in right front when you apply the brakes ). All highway miles for I worked on the road for many years. I hadn’t driven it much in the last 4 months. Started it up this week and has a miss in motor so wanting to sell it. Have been told it could be coil, vacuum leak, wiring, fuel injector, head gasket leak - I don't know? I don't have the extra money to put it in shop. All I can tell you is I still drive it on occasion(two-three times a week) when my daughter has my car and I drive it on trips to see friends that are 150 miles round trip. The miss seems to be gone when cruising 65mph or when taking off. It can be felt at idle in gear and when being put under a little pressure(climbing a hill) but when you kick the motor down it seems to go away again. The key scratches run down the sides, one-two (one in some places, two in others) on each side about 3- inches apart. Some can be buffed out but not all can I had a guy do a little work to it last year but didn't have the money to finish fixing the scratches. Don’t need it so wanting to sell it. I bought this truck in mid 2006 off the original owner with around I believe 98-99k miles on it at that time. NO DELIVERY. PICK UP ONLY. READ CAREFULLY FOR I AM GIVING THE MOST ACCURATE DISCRIPTION I CAN OF THE TRUCK. I had a guy hook it up to a diagnostic computer and all it showed is misfire cylinder 3. I changed the plug and it still shows misfire cylinder 3. He said it could be a coil, a fuel injector, wiring for coil or fuel injector, head gasket leak, manifold leak. Said he couldn't say for sure without taking time to look at it. The shops here charge $65-$70 per hour on labor and I can't afford to pay that(probably 2 hours) just to find out then pay more to fix it. $2000 buys it and takes it home. Got to go.
