Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1991 Dodge W250 LE Cummins 5-speed 4X4 non I/C regular cab. I purchased it in spring of 2012 from Chevrolet of Puyallup in Puyallup, Washington. The original owner traded it in there and I purchased it with 118,000 miles. I am selling it because I just bought a new Ram 2500 and I would like to keep it inside, so I am putting this up for sale because it has been kept indoors it's whole life and I don't want to leave it outside. General Info - I am the second owner. The miles are correct at 120,018. These are actual miles and the title is an "ACTUAL MILES" title, not exempt. I also have every oil change record going back to 1996 and a few before that. It has never been abused. The first owner was older than me (I am 52) and used it like a car. It was always garaged and still is. I had the original springs, U-bolts, shocks, wheels, trim rings and hubcaps to convert it back to stock if that is what someone wanted. It also has a clean carfax. Body/Paint/Glass - No rust ever. None starting and none repaired. With the exception of the roof the paint is all original. The roof is touched up with blue paint because the guy that shipped it here let an aluminum tube drag on the roof and it wore a long thin section of paint off it. See picture. The rest of the paint is 100% origninal and it is not flaking off or delaminating anywhere. Still has a nice shine to it. There is one door ding on the drivers door and there are numerous small rock chips on the lower blue section of the cab. The rest of the paint is unbelievably good condition. As I said it is from Washington state (no road salt) and the frame and underbody are in excellent condition. The rubber weatherstripping and window run channel are in good condition. The thin hard rubber window strips where the window meets the door are cracking. This truck was always garaged and it shows...it is the nicest original paint I have ever seen. The windshield has a couple of repaired rock chips the size of a pencil eraser. The side and rear window have water spots I can't remove. It is not on the paint, so I don't know what it is. It has a professionally installed spray-in liner. The bed is good shape inside with a few small dings/dent (see picture). Still has the now out-of-production rubber tailgate hinge guides and the tailgate is laser straight. The cab does not leak any water. No hitches ever installed in the bed. The doors don't droop and the hinges are good. Has stainless steel Dee Zee step bars. Mechanical - No fluid leaks of any kind. Sits inside on concrete, so I would know. Starts on the first crank always. Shuts off properly too. No clunks or unusual noises in drive train. Motor and pump all stock. Good clutch. Transmission goes into all gears correctly with no grinding and stays in gear until you shift it. Has 4.10 gears. The transmission is obviously a 5-speed Getrag and other than being a slow shifting transmission like all Getrags it is in good condition. I changed the fluids in both differentials, the transmission and the transfer case when I got it. It drives straight down the road, no vibrations, doesn't pull left or right or wander. The brakes have plenty of pedal and the pedal is firm. The brakes will pulsate at a hard stop because the front rotors need to be turned. The power steering works fine. The 4 x 4 and lockouts work fine. The A/C is converted to 134A and blows cold. The oil pressure and temperature are normal. The parking brake works correctly. Rear air bags inflate and deflate properly. The exhaust is original and intact. The tires and wheels have 2,000 miles on them and they are 33 x 12.50 x 16.5 BFGs and the lift kit is a 4" Skyjacker. Electrical - This truck is a LE. It has power windows, powder locks, power mirrors, AM/FM cassett. Everything works. Windows are still fast up and down. A/C blows cold on all selections and blower speeds. Heat works properly. No cruise or tilt. All lights, turn signals, dome and cargo lights, horn, and gauges work correctly. There are no electrical gremlins on this truck. Has Riderite airbags and compressor that control each rear bag individually. The cold start air pre-heater grid work correctly and the wait-to-start light and ABS light on the dash come on and go off correctly. Interior - The carpet is nice. The headliner is perfect. The door panels and dash are in exceptional condition. The seat is fraying and worn on the drivers side (see pictures), especially the cording on the edge and the vinyl side is cracked. The transfer case lever rattles at high speeds, which is common. The plastics and instrument cluster are in nice condition. Summary - This is definitely one of the nicest first generation trucks out there and there aren't many like it left It hasn't been turned up or hot rodded. It is not a "coal-roller" - in fact is probably one of the slowest trucks I have owned. As I have said I have every part to return it to stock height, but it sure looks cool like it is. It is not new and it will not look new in person. It is 22 years old. It is a reliable truck and truely the last mechanical diesel truck. It has never been worked hard, but I stress this again: it is 22 years old, the paint has some chips, the seat is worn, it is not new and is good as it looks in the pictures it shows some minor wear. I have limited phone time, but you can call me if you have questions. My name is Pete. 260-310-4207. Payment Etc. - This truck has a resonable reserve. It is not for sale elsewhere. I will not sell it before the auction ends, so please don't ask. I have the title in my possession. If you are the winning bidder I will provide you a copy of it. READ THIS WELL: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY IN HAND TO PAY FOR THIS TRUCK, DO NOT BID. I am too busy to chase non paying bidders. Shipping buyers responsibility. Less than 10 feedback call first please. If you need permission to buy this truck, get it before you bid. No trades please. I will accept cash or wire transfer. I will accept a bank cashiers check, but the title and truck stay until it clears. Please contact me within 24 hours within the auctions end by phone. U.S. buyers only please. Thank you.
