Vehicle Detail

1969 Camaro X44 Excellent time capsule / cruise night car adult owned You won’t find many ORIGINAL Camaros like this anymore See pictures for honest description  Up for auction is my pride and joy Daytona Yellow 1969 X44 Camaro.  Unfortunate circumstances force me to sell my favorite Camaro.  I have owned almost 20 Camaros over the years and this one has been my favorite.  While it doesn’t have the big block power or the Z28 option, it is truly a time capsule piece that is remarkably original.   This car was purchase new by a female owner in New Jersey.  After owning the car 34 years it was willed to her daughter, sold to her neighbor and I purchased it with 43000 original miles in 2005.  The car has never seen a winter and now still only has 57000 original miles.  There was one enamel repaint in the 70’s in the correct code 76 Daytona Yellow.  The paint looks okay for cruise nights, etc but is starting to show it’s age.  All original factory panels - no body replacement parts ever.  There is a ding in the driver rear quarter near the bumper (see photos) and another slight dent in the lower passenger front fender.  There are some scratches, mild dings, etc as is shown in the photos. I have only driven this car 1700 miles each summer so I didn’t invest in a new paint job.  The vinyl top is original and in nice shape.  The chrome is all original and looks “period correct” with some fading but overall very nice.  The original gray grill is near perfect as is the code 711 black standard interior.  The carpet has been replaced but everything else is factory original and much nicer than the reproduction pieces currently available. The born-with number matching drivetrain features the original 307 and the original powerglide and the original 10 bolt rearend which all function without any problems.  I have driven this car to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, approximately 350 miles from my home for the past three years in a row and it runs perfectly, averaging 21 mpg.  There is slight oil leaking but nothing major.  I just couldn’t bear to pull out the motor, etc.  Remember, it’s only original once. The car features chrome reproduction rally wheels with BF Goodrich tires.  I have the original hub caps (not rims) as well.  The car has been upgraded with Z28 stainless steel chambered exhaust, replacement 5 leaf rear springs (I have the originals if you want - I think...) and gas shocks for a better ride.  The interior has a nice set of gauges but other than that, it is pretty much all original.  The engine compartment is “as is” and original.  Nothing has ever been done as everything works except the factory AC could use charging. This would make a great investment for someone who wants a nice summer car that HAS ALWAYS BEEN ADULT OWNED AND NEVER HOT RODDED OR RUINED.  You will easily get your money back down the road or make a few dollars.  It certainly will be more rewarding that watching your investments on Wall Street.   Doors open and close smoothly, no sag, all original glass except for windshield, interior is mint, engine is original as is the trunk and undercarriage.  No rust areas in the floors or weak areas whatsoever.  Only slight surface rust in the trunk that would clean up very easily. As I said above, I am reluctantly selling this car due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control.  Truly, my loss, your gain.  In fact, I like this car so much I would appreciate the opportunity to buy it back down the road - it’s that nice. Important Information ~ As I have stated, the car is not perfect.  It is 44 years old but is as nice of an original as you may ever find. Car is sold as is, where is, not refunds or returns, etc.  Buyer is responsible for a $500 non-refundable deposit paid via paypal within 24 hours of the close of the auction.  Bidding to win is a contractual agreement so please have your financing and spousal permissions in line before making an agreement to purchase.  Balance is to be paid in full and the vehicle picked up from my residence within 7 days of the close of the auction via certified bank check or cash only.  Seller has the right to delete or refuse any bid placed from bidders with under 10 feedback or with recent or excessive negative feedback.  Car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.  Use the BUY IT NOW and your purchase will be assured.
