This car has only had 1 Texas Owner since new. See the Carfax Report for the excellent service history. The engine is very strong and everything works perfect with no issues. The transmission shifts perfect. The tires are Michelins with plenty of tread. This car has nearly every option that was available at the time. Ive put about 60 miles on this vehicle myself and it has performed flawlessly. This ALH generation of the TDI engine is held by most of us VW enthusiasts to be the best, and it is most of the reason why the TDI engines have such an amazing reputation. Change the oil (every 5k), fuel filter (every 10k), and timing belt (every 100k), and youll likely see 500k miles out of this engine. My wife and I have owned several VWs personally (all TDIs) and my favorite is my current 2003 Jetta with this same ALH TDI engine. You can expect over 40 MPG with this car, and even 50 MPG is fairly easily acheived. Since this car has only had 1 owner and lived in Texas since new, it hasnt ever been exposed to snow or salted roads. Therefore, there isnt any rust or corrosion anywhere on the car, top or bottom. I have the original title "in hand" which shows the original owners bought it with 17 miles on it from Central Volkswagen of Richardson, TX and they just traded it in on a brand new car. I use a local TDI specialist for my own VW TDIs, so as soon as I got this car it went straight to him for a thorough checking. He serviced it very thoroughly and even took care of some preventative maintenance too. He did the full VW Timing Belt Kit (belt, tensioners, water pump, etc.), cleaned the carbon from the intake manifold, fixed a vacuum pump leak, replaced the ABS pump (with module and sensor), replaced the fuel filter, and changed the oil (correct synthetic Castrol from VW). This car is ready to drive anywhere you want to take it and it drives great. The interior is in very good condition. Everything looks good with very little wear showing, and all the upholstery is in good condition with no tears or stains anywhere. The A/C is cold and the Heat is hot. This car is loaded with options and everything works great! The exterior also looks excellent! All body panels are original, all paint appears to be original, and the Carfax Report is perfectly clean, so theres no evidence of any previous accidents or damage. The paint is in great shape. Just a few tiny rock chips and such from normal use, but no damage anywhere. This car really looks great. This Beetle is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it.
