Vehicle Detail
1970 Porsche 911E Coupe Track or Street Hotrod VIN: 9110201267 Engine#: 6202433 Color: Bahia Red (Original) Unknown Mileage Weight unknown This is a matching numbers car that is very restorable or an absolute blast at the track. I bought this car in December of 2010 to use as a track car. It was formerly a PCA H-Class racer from Colorado. I ran it for 2 years at PCA DE events here in the Midwest. The car is almost streetable as it sits. The only thing noticeably missing is the horn. The lights, wipers, etc. seem to work OK. The tires are pure race slicks; you will want tires with tread to drive on the street. The engine timing and carbs will need retuned to be civilized for the street. It likes to accelerate, not cruise. Virtually all of the race prep was done by AJRS in Grand Junction Colorado before I bought it. I did not get the log books with the car, but the stickers are still attached to the roll bar and back glass. I had the body painted in its original Bahia Red to a very good standard with the thought of putting it on the street someday. Car has front and rear tow hooks, ignition cut off switch, and a full welded in roll cage. It wouldn’t take much to prepare it for any series you want to race it in. It already has the stone chips on the hood and bumper so you won’t have to fret over that. Engine: Original 2.2L Rebuilt in 2009 according to the previous owner. Electromotive Crank fire ignition (Single Plug) New pistons and cylinders (911E) Lightened flywheel Complete head and valve job, Heads flowed Titanium valve spring keepers Boat tailed case Case squirters installed Timing chains new Carrera chain tensioner upgrade Rebuilt Italian Weber carburetors flowed (Rejetted for sea level) K&N Watershields 1-1/2 inch headers Stainless Supertrap mufflers (nice sound, not obnoxious at all) Very little oil leakage Very little smoke at startup Transmission: 901 5-speed with close ratio gears rebuilt New synchros etc. Quaiffe Limited Slip Differential Lightened flywheel Custom B&M Short Shifter New shifter linkage bushings Suspension and body: Front gun drilled torsion bars Front and rear Weltmeister sway bars 28mm rear torsion bars Weltmeister adjustable spring plates Weltmeister strut brace Porsche 911S front brake calipers Hawk Blue brake pads Brake Cooling ducts from the front bumper Earl’s front mounted oil cooler with AN fittings Aux cartridge oil filter front fender mounted New gas tank Cookie cutter 6&7x15” black powder coated wheels The sheet metal is clean and virtually rust free. The front suspension pan is the original. It does show some signs of light damage. Interior: Pretty well stripped out interior All sound proofing removed Covered Aluminum race seats Full roll cage 5-Point harnesses Hand laid fiberglass dash New RS carpet and door panels Speedometer works, Odometer does not work. There is no heat. I do not have the original MFI fuel system for the car. I do not have Fuchs wheels for the car. Only what you see attached to the car is included. There are a few more pictures here: http://pjsautosound.com/1970e.htm In fairness to all, I will not end the auction early, I do not have a buy-it-now price, and there is absolutely no reserve. The high bidder will own this car! Please have all your ducks in a row before bidding on this beautiful car. I will sell overseas. I have the title in my possession and ready to transfer to the new owner. On Jul-26-13 at 09:26:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I took some pictures of the bottom of the car. The only rust issue I found is the bottom of the driver side rear seat where the back window aparently leaked for a long time. http://pjsautosound.com/1970EBottom.htm
