Vehicle Detail
2006 Chrysler 300 Limited Touring 3.5L/V6 FI DOHC 24V RWD 4DR Sedan VIN# 2C3LA53G96H253892 Title is "Ex-Salvage" which means it has been rebuilt from the salvage title. Car was issued a salvage title in 2009 due to being a flood car. When the car was totaled, the reading on the dash was stuck on TRIP instead of actual mileage. Due to there being electrical issues apparently it wouldn't switch so the mileage was recorded by the insurance adjustor as 3,400 & a "Mileage Discrepancy" flag was place on the vehicle. Once the electrical sensors were replaced the actual mileage was accessed from the main ECM at the dealership & it was 14,900. More work was completed on the vehicle including a whole new dash cluster at a different dealership. When this dealership programmed the new dash they entered the mileage as 24,443. Which is way off since the car hadn't been driven, only towed. According to the tech they entered the mileage that they were given by the customer, who says that he just estimated. The next dealership that worked on the car programmed the power control module. After this the car had to be taken to the MVA for an inspection and VIN check to issue the rebuilt, ex-salvage title. They entered the mileage was 19,025. (We have no idea where that number came from) The dash reads 24,650 but we estimate the mileage to be closer to 15,000. The car was actually on the road for just over 2 years so it has very low mileage. It was purchased in 3/2007 & totaled in 8/2009 & hasn't been on the road since. The car still has the original tires from the factory so it hasn't been driven a whole lot of miles. The customer we obtained the car from, had it to 2 separate dealerships and had numerous electrical components replaced. We had it at 1 in order to have the power control module & heated seat module programmed. We are a repair facility that completed repairs on the vehicle for the customer who didn't pay his bill. We had to place a mechanics lien on the title due to his abandoning it & leaving us stuck with the bill. Currently the car needs an ABS module replaced which has to be factory ordered. Brakes are in good working order, there is no problem with the brakes themselves. Please don't confuse the ABS/Traction Control with the functionality of the brake system in general. We just want to be done with the car. We have numerous man hours in the repairs as well as parts cost & the outsourced repairs by the dealership that came out of our pocket. We then had to pay the fees for the mechanics lien & take the vehicle 2 hours away to the main branch of the Maryland MVA for the salvage inspection, plus pay the taxes & fee for the title. It's an amazing car & someone can get a great deal on it. It has a couple paint cracks on the bumper that need touching up. We replaced the tail light that was cracked but we really didn't want to pay to have the bumper re-painted. It could be sanded & touched up & it probably wouldn't be that noticeable. There are no engine or transmission codes in the computer, they have all been addressed. The ABS & Traction Control lights are currently still on due to the ABS module that needs replacing. The Airbag light is also on due to the clockspring in the steering column that needs replacing. (according to the dealership). We chose not to pay them to do any further repairs, as I said we are already into this car for quite a bit of time & money. The car is mechanically sound. The traction control & ABS do not currently work, but it runs great the transmission is fine. We drove the car 2 hours to the main MVA branch with no issues. ECM, Wireless Control Module, Heated Seat Module, Instrument Cluster have been replaced & programmed by Chrysler dealerships. New Key was programmed as well. The car needs a little fine tuning but can be driven as it is now. The interior is in excellent shape. Car is loaded, leather, heated seats, sun roof, all major options except navigation. Air Conditioning is cold & heat works. Everything currently functions except for issues mentioned. Carfax shows the car having dealer service updates right up until it was totalled so it was well taken care of by the previous owners. According to CARFAX, the price adjustment from book value is minus $2,730. Book value is approximately $15,000 so that puts the value of the car still way above $10,000. As I said, someone can get a great deal on this car we just want to re-coup some of what we have invested in repairs & lien fees. We actually planned on keeping the car for our daughter as a graduation present but we found an amazing deal on a R/T Charger which is her dream car so we got that instead. Car is Navy Blue with lots of Chrome trim. Interior is light Tannish/Gray/Taupe, sandstone or driftwood I believe they call it. Please feel free to Email with Any questions. NO RESERVE AUCTION! We are open to Buy It Now offers. Car is for sale locally as well. $500 Deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Balance due within 3 days. On Jul-16-13 at 09:21:34 PDT, seller added the following information: If you look at the Auto Check report that Ebay attaches to the listings, you can see the actual mileage of the vehicle when it was taken to the dealership for services, BEFORE it was totaled. That way you can see that it wasn't a high mileage vehicle, the odometer discrepancy flag was added due to it reading 3,400 which was because the dash reading was stuck on "trip." The mileage is documented all along the way up until it was totaled out in 2009. The last documented mileage from the dealership was 12,983 when the vehicle was serviced just a few months before it was totaled. The reported mileage after the total loss was 14,900 and the vehicle hasn't actually been "on the road" since. We put a few hundred miles on it driving it back & forth for repair & to the MVA for inspection, that has just been in the past few months. So the actual mileage is around 15,000 & the Carfax & AutoCheck reports back this up.
