2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
This is a beautiful and well maintained Volkswagen Jetta. It is in very good condition inside and out. It is loaded with lots of nice features including heated leatherette seating surfaces, sunroof, premium sound system, ESP, and much more. This car is powered by the efficient and torquey BRM turbo diesel engine. This car comes with the 5 speed manual transmission. Put together, this powertrain is very desirable and with proper care and maintenance should provide the new owner with thousands of miles of reliable and efficient transportation. I have personally driven this car about 3,000 miles. On two separate highway trips I got over 47 mpg. Mountain Valley Motors, LLC is a VW and Diesel specialty shop. We drive TDI's for our personal vehicles and our shop foreman is a factory trained VW technician. When you buy from us you are buying from people that actually care about these cars and have inspected and serviced them from front to back to make sure everything is in top form.
History
This car was manufactured in December of 2005 and first registered in February of 2006 in Virginia where it has been ever since. This car has a clear and clean title history with no accidents or other issues to report. We have included the Autocheck report with this car so you can see for yourself. This vehicle has been well maintained by the previous owner and we have completely gone through this car in our shop to complete all the necessary maintenance and repairs.
Mechanical
This Jetta runs and drives like a new car. The engine runs great with all of its original power. The transmission shifts smoothly and crisply and the clutch feels good with no slipping. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The check engine light is not on and there are no other warning lights illuminated. The underside of this car is clean and dry with no leaks or rust. The tires are nice matching Michelins with about 70% tread left. We put new brake pads and rotors at all four corners. We have just completely serviced this vehicle including oil change, new air filter, new fuel filter, new cabin air filter and new timing belt and water pump. The BRM engine also had a problem with premature camshaft wear if the proper spec oil wasn't used. Amazingly enough, most VW dealers don't even use the right oil and since this car was dealer maintained, it had some cam wear starting to show. So we replaced the camshaft, lifters, and bearings. We also replaced the headliner in this car as it was starting to pull back around the edges like these cars are famous for doing. All in all, we did about $3,000 of maintenance to this car so you won't have to worry about it for a long time. If you had this work done at a VW dealership the bill would have been well over $4,500. If you had bought this car from most used car dealerships, they would never have noticed the cam wear and certainly wouldn't have preemptively repaired all of this and more. This is the Mountain Valley Motors difference! This car has just passed a Virginia State inspection. It is ready to drive anywhere.
Exterior
This Jetta looks very much like a new one. The blue paint is glossy and smooth. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes but nothing that would detract from the overall excellent appearance of this car. The rear bumper has some scuffing on the drivers side behind the rear wheel(see picture), and two of the wheels have some curb rash (See pictures). I would rate the exterior of this car an 8 out of 10.
Interior
The interior of this car is nearly perfect as well. The seats and carpet are clean with no stains or rips. There are no unusual or offensive odors and this car has not been smoked in. The drivers side floor mat is showing some wear. We have the floor mats, one key/remote, spare tire and tools, and the owners manuals. I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10.
This vehicle is Virginia State Inspected and Carfax certified. Don't wait till the last minute and be outbid on this very nice and hard to find VW Jetta TDI. We will not sell any salvage, flooded, or rebuilt vehicles. And we guarantee a clear title with no odometer problems.
We do not sell any vehicle that we wouldn't drive ourselves. As a matter of fact, we often put a couple hundred miles on the vehicles before we list them. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.
Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. If you find that the vehicle is not as it was described in the listing you are entitled to a full refund of any deposit you have paid. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle. If you have the vehicle shipped and wish to return it for a refund you will be responsible for the shipping charges both ways. Your trade-ins are welcome as well. Please call us before the end of the auction if you wish to trade a vehicle.
