Vehicle Detail
After riding the bike this morning I noticed the float needs to be adjusted or maybe a float valve needs replacing either way this is an inexpensive repair that can be taken care of by an avid mechanic. If you have any questions call using phone number below.1972 Honda XL 250 Original basement find with clear Maryland title from 1973 originally purchased in Virginia still has VA inspection sticker on front fork lower. The frame VIN is XL250-1020399 the engine number is SL250SE-1020469. This bike is in very good condition with low mileage less than 2300, original tires with no dry rot, original tool kit, new battery and new Honda OEM mirrors since originals were MIA. The bike also has original Honda ignition key and shop manual but no owners manual. The seat has small tear near the left rear, the fork lowers look to have some slight corrosion that should clean up with no problems. There is some some pitting on chrome in certain locations that should clean up with no problems. The first owner parked the bike after a low speed spill in his gravel driveway the damage can be seen on left side of fuel tank. The original battery was missing along with the wiring that connects the battery to the main harness, I have rigged some wire with stakons by 3M to stab into the existing connector. Inside gas tank is clean but should be lined to protect fuel system. I have installed a inline K&N fuel filter made in USA to protect the carburetor. Bike runs great with no smoking and goes through the gears and stops as it should, the lights and horn work as they should as well as the steering lock. After riding the bike this morning I noticed the float needs to be adjusted or maybe a float valve needs replacing either way this is an inexpensive repair that can be taken care of by an avid mechanic.
