Vehicle Detail

1974 CB750k4. Classic. Perfect café look. Looks Great. Runs great. I've owned the bike for the past three years and I've used it to go out on the summer weekends only. I've put around a thousand miles on it and it's never had any problems. Recently it was stripped down to the frame for the restoration which was all done by yours truly. (Its just a hobby of mine so the restoration is not perfect but I do take pride in my work)The frame was sanded and the hard to get areas were sandblasted and prepped for paint. All of the unnecessary and unused tabs were removed. Two metal plates were welded to the tail end of the frame to provide bracing and a sturdy mounting place for the electronics and seat. The seat is a custom one-off fiberglass seat. It mounts via a metal bracket that clips on to the frame along with one bolt under the seat pad. It's very sturdy and holds the fuel tank on as well. It has a small pad that was hand made. A brand new battery is under the tail along with all the original electrical components. The fuel tank was in great shape before the tear down. It had two tiny dents that were filled with bondo. The emblems are original for the tank and are custom painted as well. The oil tank is custom. The capacity is close to the original tank capacity. The mounts are sturdy. It uses the original fittings and cap. It also vents the transmission as did the original. The engine was removed, sandblasted and painted with a high-quality, high-heat engine paint. The valve tappets and cam chain have been adjusted recently. The carbs were soda blasted to look like new. Pod filters were modified to fit on the air-horns that originally sat inside the air box. The air-horns help to keep a laminar flow and performance is great with the pods installed in this way. The carbs have been re-jetted and are running great at my altitude. (5500 ft.) If you are at a significantly different altitude plan on possibly re-jetting. Everything was painted before being installed. The Frame and triple are painted silver, the tank and seat are a metallic blue. I used Honda colors in a two-stage high-quality Valspar urethane for these parts. The exhaust is original. The mufflers had a few holes that were welded. They have been painted with a high-quality header paint. The handle bars are clip-ons taken from a newer CBR.The gages have been rebuilt, the indicator lights are led's that sit in the new glass gage faces. An led tail light sits next to two aftermarket bullet style indicator lights. The front indicators are from a '71 cb350.It is sitting on two brand new tires with less than 100 miles on them. Since the restoration the bike is running great. I'd love to keep it but I need the money to get through school. Call with questions: Sam - (801) 471-3673 The purchaser should be comfortable working on and maintaining a 40 year old motorcycle.
