Vehicle Detail
Here is a fine example of theT120R Bonneville - this is a one (family) owner bike with approximately 15,875 miles on it. It is ALL ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING with the original untouched metallic gold/blank paint. If you are looking for a numbers matching, untouched, low serial number OIF bonnie...here it is. Its hard to find a bike that hasn't been messed with or frankensteined over the years. The only non-original parts on this bike are the rear turns signals have been replaced with repros...however the original Lucas lens are included. The origina owner (the father) bought this bike new in 1971, then gave it to his son on 2005 (w/ 12,000 miles). The bike had been sitting for a long time, the son got it running and drove it around for another 3000 miles in 05/06 then put it back in storage. I aquired it as I was looking for a very original bike to restore. However, this one is just too nice to restore with its originality, so I bought myself a Norton instead and so this is up on the chopping block. My loss is your gain. The machine starts on a couple of kicks and runs OK. It does need a tune up though. Itg does drive down the street and goes thru the gears. No smoke. Has the original and correct matching carburetors - original matching numbers engine and gearbox. The engine and gearbox have never been opened up, and have only received service/oil changes per spec. Overall, just about everything is in good condition - some small scratches and scuffing which is typical for its age with a couple of ninor dents in the tank that I point out in the pics, but nothing serious at all. Correct original seat in superb condition, no tears or scuffs....the Triumph logo on the back is almost worn off though. Part of the original tool kit is also there as in the owners manual. Comes with spare ignition parts, orginal removed parts and new chain. The wiring is completely original with the proper black/white cloth covering and is complete and original and unmessed with. Everything works electrically (lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc). Has a clean and clear NE title in my name. I went ahead and titled it as the DMV is cracking down on open titles...I still consider this a one family bike though. Please contact me with any questions and I will get back to you promptly. I will assist with shipping as much as possible and by delivering to a depot within 50 miles if needed. An ebay deposit will be required within 48 hours from auction end and balance within seven days. Appreciate your interest. Several people have asked why I have the side stand on a block of wood. Simple...my driveway is sloped and when i turned the bike around to shoot the other side in the sun, it leaned over too much. My back is/was not strong enough to get it back on the center stand (neighbor got it on center for me for first few shots). The side stand is just fine and operates perfectly on flat level ground. Just not so well on my slopey driveway! Over 50 watchers. I have lowered the starting price to see if we can get this auction started. This bike WILL sell to the highest bidder.
