Most people forget how the critics raved about these bikes in 1984. I recently found a magazine from that year calling this the "Bike of the Year 1984" We didn't get it there until 1985 so this is one of the few 1984 machines in the US. This looks to have a European style Headlights and Fairing different from my other K100RS I took some better pictures and took a detailed walk around of this great bike, This was in a collection in the Netherlands and left there in better shape than when I received it. i am including some of the before pictures just to let you know what it could look like with a bit of work. I shipped this in a container and it broke 2 of the straps and leaned against another bike I had in the container (a Cagiva that got the worst of it). The center stand was slightly tweaked and does not retract fully. There are some scratches on the front fairing and a hole in the seat as well as an abrasion behind the rear seat as well as a missing rear signal. the right front turn signal lens was knocked off It has nearly new tires but will need a battery, The caution light is on because the battery is no longer taking a charge. I hooked up a jump box and took it for a short ride, a couple of miles up and back and it seems to ride out OK. It will need to be gone through before regular use as it has seen very limited use in the last 30 years, the clutch seems to be a little noisy but works fine. It did have the bag mounts but did not come with bags. I installed a rather ratty set of bags I had from another bike and they seem to fit fine. This particular bike is still under the dutch title, it was legally imported by me and I have papers in my name. It will be sold with a notarized Bill of Sale. It has a european non compliant ViN (the Vin listed above is not correct) This will require some extra work to title and will be sold with the import documentation, Dutch title and a Notarized bill of sale This bike has an original owners manual in English but no tool kit, The bike speedometer and Odo are in KM so the mileage listed is the US equivalent. the last 4 pictures are of the bike before it left Europe in "minty" condition
