Vehicle Detail

1967 Norton Matchless G15 Mk 2 750cc Motorcycle Project Engine G15 M2/119919 is a G15 Mk2 dispatched to Berliner Motors in New York on January 11, 1967. The frame number 119919 is consistent with the engine number so frame and engine numbers match. It was called the G15 Mk2 as the earlier G15/45 or 750 Matchless stretched version of the G12 was the Mark 1 version. The engine is a 750cc Norton Atlas variant fitted to the G15 series of bikes, with a different alloy primary cover as compared to the Atlas. The G15 Mk 2 cycle parts were similar to the CS models with differences between domestic and export versions. The G15 MK2 was produced in export version for the most part and in small numbers; these were among the very last models Matchless (AMC Norton) ever produced. This is a project bike on offer , as I have too many projects and must part with this one. The engine has compression in both cylinders however the magneto is not producing a spark and one of the Amal carbs is missing parts. As can be seen, the right hand exhaust pipe is missing and the motor is a non-runner. The clutch operates and gears seem to shift properly with a basic manual test of the shift lever. A front tire has been fitted to the alloy rim on rear, and the lighting and mudguards are missing, front brake lever/cable also missing. Front rim is standard Dunlop make in good nick and Curnutt shocks fitted at rear. A fully restored CS version of this bike sold for $14K at the Las Vegas auction in January of this year, my reserve is a tiny fraction of that. This is a very scarce/desirable model of a classic motorcycle offered at a very reasonable opening ask and these models do not appear often, so don't miss it! Note: This is a project bike offering, non-running, sold as-is. Sold with a Bill of Sale only, last registered in Vermont. I can assist the new owner with filing for replacement documentation, pls contact for details. I can personally deliver within a six hundred mile radius of Las Vegas, NV for a negotiable cost (depends on distance) or pls see shipping options below.
