2004 Subaru Impreza WRX for sale. Very recent engine trouble (6/22) has forced consideration of sale. The car has 135,xxx miles on it and is otherwise in very good shape. There is some slight body damage from a recent encounter with a deer. No structural or engine damage from deer. Car assessed by master Subaru mechanic and determined a rod bearing is going / gone and will require a new engine. The existing engine is in the car and no other diagnostics or tear down has been done. Car is sitting at a Midwest Subaru dealership waiting for my decision to put a new engine in or sell. We’re the 2nd owner and don’t want to invest in a new engine or body repair so I want to sell the car complete. I’m not parting out the car and will only sell the complete car. I have all the receipt and work history on the car from the prior owner too. This car has not been modified in any way as many WRX’s and STI’s have been so this is an all original car that just needs a new engine and some body work. The only non-OEM thing is wheels and tires.
