Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is 1980 Pontiac Le Mans Wagon Street Rod. **Roller Only. Complete car, No Engine** Includes:BOP Turbo 400 transmission (no converter)Be Cool Radiator, dual electric fans & relays.QTP Electric Exhaust cutouts with electronic remote control.Weld Rodlite 15” wheels & tires This is a very clean wagon, built with quality parts. It has approximately 5000 miles on it since work was completed roughly 8 years ago. The wagon was setup for Pontiac 455 w/Turbo 400, you can easily put a Chevy in it if you desired. The body is straight and rust free, painted with base/clear, colored sanded and has a nice deep gloss. All moldings, trim, bumpers, glass (except for the rear side glass) were removed for paint prep. The color is pale in the picture but it is more of a Butternut color that you would find on early Camaros, Chevelles, GTO’s. The graphics are custom 3 layer vinyl with a Pontiac Judge theme.Front suspension had been completely gone thru with all new Moog bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc. It has Bell drop spindles and Bell lowered front springs. Front disc brakes. Rear suspension is 10 bolt 7 5/8 posi with new Richmond 3:73 gear, lowered with new TRW cut rear springs. Rear drum brakes. It has PS, PB, Tilt Wheel, AC (was working at time of motor pull), factory gauge cluster (Tach, Temp, Alt, Oil), Delco AM/FM 8 track radio. Interior seats and carpet are stock and in good shape for their age, no tears or rips. Headliner is new, all door weather stripping and window felts are new. The dash has a couple of cracks and the interior plastic has the typical aging. The door panels are not orignal to the car and have electric switches that do not operate anything as the windows & locks are manually operated. Factory Pontiac ratchet shifter in a modified Firebird console.Weld Rodlite 15” wheels & tires are like new.Exhaust system begins at the fire wall with the dual Quick Time Products Electric cutouts with electronic remote control that connect to 2.5 exhaust pipes with Flow Master 50’s and tail pipes that exit at the rear qtr panels, the cutouts dump in front of the transmission cross member.Just to be clear, although the Wagon shows very well it is not a show car, it has not had a frame off restoration, the under body and frame is stock original condition, the suspension and frame has been cleaned and spray painted at some point in time, but it all shows wear from being driven. The interior does show some wear and there are a few chips, scratches, etc. To build a wagon of this quality you will be double or triple the cost of the opening bid.Clean and clear Kansas title. Winning bidder responsible for all shipping, If you want to check on your shipping cost car is located in Wichita, Ks 67204. Down payment of $250.00 due within 48hrs of close of auction, remainder due before or at time of pickup, would like vehicle picked up within 10 days after sale. Cashier check, Money Order or Cash only. Please e-mail if you have any questions and good luck bidding. Note: There are 2 pictures with the hood on the car, these were taken 2 years ago with the engine still in it to give you some idea of the stance of the wagon, again there is no engine. There is 1 picture of the top of the front bumper showing a small scratch towards the left side of the picture as well of the typical checking that is found on these bumpers, the checking cannot been seen in the pic and really cannot be seen in person until you are about 12" away and at just the right angle. I think the rest of the pictures speak for themselves. A little history about the car if you are interested.I have owned this car for approximately 20 years, bought it with a non-running V-6 with the vision to build a clean street rod back before wagons were cool. I began the project by replacing the V-6 with a Olds 350 that I had laying around and used it for my daily driver for a few years. With the wagon no longer my daily driver and the desire to continually improve the wagon, over the years I swapped the 350 for new Pontiac 400, painted it, lowered it, rebuilt suspension along with many other modifications. Then I wanted more power and built a 455 for it, ran it for a few more years till I decided I wanted to add a turbo charger. To prepare for the turbo setup I pulled the engine 2 years ago to freshen the short block and install lower compression heads, sad to say but the heads are still sitting at the machine shop and the wagon has just been sitting in the garage all that time and I have since decided to move on to other projects.
